If Hoffman blows this game, the front office has no choice but to acquire another Closer by tomorrow. The cost will be steep, but needs to happen.

Glad we do not see the Orioles the rest of the year. They have a solid lineup. Just need to upgrade their pitching, and they could be in the hunt for the Wild Card in 2026.

As bad as this series was, we were so close yesterday winning the second game of the double header and getting the split. Glad we got this win and ended the losing streak. Off day tmr and hopefully Springer and Kirk and Varsho are back over the weekend.

Without Kirk and Springer, this lineup is simply not good, and the starting pitching is a team weakness that is usually hidden by exceptional defense and quick hooks to get to a swing and miss bullpen. Getting a win today to salvage the series and end the losing streak was big. Now get Varsho and Springer back (hopefully) by Friday and Kirk by Sunday, and we can start to see MLB caliber lineups again.

Yeah Overdrive just said the Jays have the 28th best era from its starters. Obviously not good enough and we 100% can use a top of the rotation guy.
