Re: Lauri to Phoenix, Brooks to the Lakers
I think LA should cut out Utah here. Lauri/LBJ/Reaves/Luka feels worth paying. And Phoenix is only offering a good swap and a bad first. LAL should be able to top that..

Assuming you meant to cut out Phoenix here, but I'm more than happy to cut Utah out of a deal that makes zero sense for them.

Re: Lauri to Phoenix, Brooks to the Lakers
A bit of derailing but..
Would Indy trade a really well protected first for Mark Williams?
Then Phoenix can trade their low value first (think they can trade either 28 or 29), high value swap in 2032, and the Indy protected first for Lauri? Jalen/Royce/Mark as salary matching.
Royce should end up on a fourth team..
Booker/Allen/Brooks/Lauri/Richards with Dunn/Fleming/Maluach hopefully developing quickly… it’s sort of looks like a decent team and you can give like 5-6 mil of MLE to a vet point guard if you can find one?

Hell no! Markkanen's contract is worse than Beal's.

By what metric lol
It doesn't have an NTC, he is under 30, he has played at an all-star level 2 of the last 3 years, and there is a lot of contextual mitigating factors to this past season. If Phoenix isn't interested that is fine, it was just an attempt to search out other teams that aren't in Lauri convos on the board, but I don't see an argument for his contract being worse than Beal's (I don't think it is even a bad contract but I get the hesitance given last season).

Not derailing at all! My hope is to find some teams outside of the normal culprits (Detroit, San Antonio, Sacramento) that could be fun spots for Lauri but require some creativity to make a deal work.

Worse than Beal's current contract with the Clippers? Sure, he's making less than $6M a year, thats a great value contract.
Worse than the deal he was bought out of? How so?

Just ignore him. Sometimes people just say things to say things with no evidence or logic. This is clearly one of those times
