I can't disagree with that. Denver absolutely should not trade away any pick swaps unless they are 99% sure Jokic will resign. I assume it as a given that they have confidence in resigning Jokic before making any such moves.

I would do 2026 FRP swap (the 2026 OKC pick for the 2026 DEN pick) for 1 more favorable of Washington 2027 2rd picks (BRK/DAL or CHI) witouth Nnaji part.
Just add some assets to Nuggets for future trades. Then after this season if needed combine that good 2nd round pick with Nnaji/Strawther to get something. For this season Nuggets have good 9 man rotation.

If you send Kroenke an idea of how he can avoid paying luxury taxes, he might make you GM!

Hunter Tyson + $1,5 M in cash for any of these players

Johni Broome PHI, C
Moussa Cisse DAL, F
Matthew Cleveland DAL, SG
R.J. Davis LAL, SG
Eric Dixon LAL, F
Nikola Djurisic ATL, SF
Rasheer Fleming PHX, PF
Hayden Gray BOS, G
Caleb Grill CHI, G
Kam Jones IND, PG
Arthur Kaluma LAL, F
Chaz Lanier DET, SG
Augustas Marciulionis LAL, G
Cameron Matthews HOU, F
Igor Milicic Jr. PHI, F
Micah Peavy NOP, SG
Noah Penda ORL, SF
Wooga Poplar CHI, G
Tyrese Proctor CLE, SG
Maxime Raynaud SAC, C
Adou Thiero LAL, SF

All of them are making $1,272,870. Tyson salary is $2,221,677. Nuggets tax for this season is $1,206,177. They are $402K over tax line. If you trade Tyson +$1,5M Nuggets save $650K, trade partner $500K everybody happy, me GM :D

Yup. That's why I think the asking price is the 2026 FRP swap plus the DEN 2032 SRP. I'm not sure if adding Nnaji's 26-27 and 27-28 salaries are worth it for WAS, but I'd take that shot.

I'd do it for the second-most favorable of the Wizards 3 picks (best of BRK/DAL, CHI, worst of GSW/PHX). I'm not giving up that Brooklyn pick, likely to be in the 31-35 range, just to move up from 30 to 26.

Chi 2nd round pick was 43nd this season. Not enough to move 3-4 spots in the 1st round...
...what about 2 least favorable of the Wizards 3 picks (CHI, worst of GSW/PHX)...
...in this draft it would have been 43nd and 50th

Yeah, I'd probably do that.

You call your people. I'll get on the horn with Will Dawkins on my end and make it happen. :D
