Any recommendations for audio books? Tried them in the past and it never took, but I started Project Hail Mary this week and it's wonderful. Narrator is awesome and the story is as good as the hype.
I like mysteries, horror, legal thrillers...typical beach stuff.

Two of the pizzas are edible, but the third is half jalapeño/half pineapple. Seriously? I could see it maybe if you are supposed to eat 2 slices at once for a sweet and spicy thing, but wouldn't you just pay the $3 to get both toppings on the whole thing? Bizarre.
My standard order used to be jalapenos, pineapple, and feta.
Sweet, spicy, salty all in one bite. It’s fantastic. It’s great without the feta too.

I haven't listened to it, but my brother recently listened to Stephen Fry narrating some of the Sherlock Holmes stories and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Fantasy but pretty good.

That's a fantastic combo. I never thought to add feta to my jalapeño/pineapple combo. I'll have to try that next time.
Anyway, some people just don't like spicy. I'm assuming that's why it's been made half-and-half. Or they just entered it wrong in the app.

Hot honey is suppose to be a thing now on pizza. I don't know who has it or if it's any good. I suppose you could just add your own. I like Mike's Hot Honey. Not sure about on pizza though.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'd eat the jalapeño half as long as the other half didn't leak over. Pineapple on pizza-blech!

I've seen that but I've never paid extra to put that on my pizza. I've got some Mike's at home and will use it from time to time. Also Sriracha adds a nice kick.
But in most cases, I'll just add some crushed red pepper and parm.

Hey, to each their own. Sweet-Spicy is a wonderful combo. Add the saltiness from feta and that's a damn good slice.

Made my first pizza on the blackstone. Par baked the crust on indirect heat. Flipped it, added the toppings, and baked it lid down on indirect heat for 5 minutes or so, then slid it to the hot side for a minute or two to crisp up the undercarriage. Watched it pretty close
Don’t know if that’s the best way to do it, but it worked well for me

Even regular honey is good on pizza, cuts through the savoriness of the rest

This awful air quality is really bringing my ability to move around outside way down. It's like 10x worse because of my asthma

I’m taking the plunge and going to Burning Man this year. Has anyone been? Wondering some general advice, recommendations, etc. I’ll report back with my experience after.

Got a skirt steak marinating, pico and guac made, and the grill fired up.
It's going to be a nice evening.

The Devotion of Suspect X is my favorite of the last ten years. The narrator on Audible does a great job.
The book is a detective/murder/police procedural at heart, but you'll care about the characters before you know it.
Keigo Higashino is a master of the genre and it's easily his best.

That's where I got my serious stuff done, will get some more gear when I go back in September, been a few years.
I'll also go to the market and get something done at one of the cheap places. Got a purple velvet suit made last time. Thinking canary yellow this time.
Far be it for me to question these things, but I feel like wearing an Asian-made suit to look fancy seems pretty bogan. But I'm probably leaning on some racist tropes here, or maybe just Bali-related ones haha.
My serious suit looks like a proper expensive one. The other one makes me look like The Joker. Can't imagine I'll ever go to Bali, spose you could call me an elitist bogan. **** if I want to go overseas just to hang out with other Aussie bogans. Particularly West Australians.
Yeah, the suit comment was pretty unwarranted, I've no doubt its quality destroys the factory-made stuff most bogans are wearing to the Spring Carnival, and probably the fancier stuff like MJ Bale.
I don't think I could ever go to Bali. Vietnam 100x over Bali...

I've sous vide steaks for years but tonight I'm trying the Fallow method and adding beef tallow, rosemary, and garlic to the cooking bag. I can only imagine it's gonna turn out awesome.
