I think people see that he's a 6'10 playmaker that can defend multiple positions and would only be a vet min signing as an intriguing option for us. I mean since it's an vet min i wouldn't mind it. But i also want to stress that he was unplayable in the playoffs with the Clippers so I would lower any type of expectations with him because he is not gonna do much with us even if he does come here. Also not even sure he's a good fit with us since he can't shoot. It would be terrible with him being on the court with Hart and Mitch. Idk if he can handle the pressure as a Knick too.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

He’s like the worst kind of tweener and I just don’t see why any team not just the Knicks would have any interest in him. A big forward who just likes to pass, plays with zero confidence or aggression on offense, can’t shoot and plays soft. Even for the minimum I’d rather bring back Landry Shamet and I didn’t even like Shamet before but he showed some things end of the season and playoffs. We might need a wing with some size who can shoot and that ain’t Simmons. If we need a big we can do better and get an actual big. Like no matter what position we need there are better options even at the minimum.

Yeah idc for Simmons like that for the same reasons you listed out. And I think the rest of the league feels the same way since he’s still a free agent. Wouldn’t mind bringing back shamet instead

I think Simmons has a lot of offers for the vet min or similar, he is just seeking the best situation. Who will promise him the biggest role. He needs Horford to pick a spot (sign officially) so that Celtics etc can move to the next tier. He could be a starter in Boston.

Pretty doubtful. They would have signed Simmons long ago if that was the case.

Simmons/Shamet/Brogdon are the guesses for the last vet spot. We've been throwing these names around for weeks. Each has limitations. Without knowing who fits best for what Brown wants to do, it's a broad range.
Simmons gives you defense and distribution but, zero on offense. He's mentally weak and physically a big risk. Dude gets back surgery every year. The idea of him is interesting but, it never meets the reality.
Shamet gives you pesky defense and outside shooting. He isn't a PG though. We don't really need another SG. I like him He's healthier than the other two so, that's a plus...I guess.
Brogdon can't stay healthy. If he could, he would be my choice. Another risky move.
It's only a vet mini bench role so, any risk is minimal. Still, I would really like to nail this choice and go after the championship!! No pressure!!

Re: Trades and Transactions 2025 V
I was big on Brogdon a couple of years ago. Not so much anymore. Hard to tell if last season's trail end was him being injured or Washington tanking.
