Sounds like Bieber might be just a rental. Player option next season. If he does well rest of the way here, he might be gone.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Was Stephen a better prospect then both?>
Certainly ahead of Berreira. His prospect stock is not very high.
As for Tiedemann, I heard that some sources had moved Stephen up to as high as #80 in MLB just before the deadline. So I think for some he has moved ahead of Teidemann.

Re: MLB Trade Deadline & Jays Trade Deadline Thread
I like the Bieber deal. A worthwhile risk, that retains your prospect capital for other moves today. If he plays well its purely a rental, although the Jays should have the money and spots in the rotation for them to develop a relationship where he wants to extend.
I have a feeling we are going to get another solid reliever, but it will not be one of the elite relievers. Really good like Bednar would be nice, but just getting one more solid guy that is mid-high leverage would be nice too. I'm thinking another reliever the quality of a Dominquez.

No reason why he wouldn't be open to signing with us here if he does well. We have the money and the team looks decent enough going into next season for it be an attractive option for free agents.
I just hope he's healthy enough to be a decent option down the stretch. Didn't like the report that he was experiencing elbow soreness in one of his rehab starts.

Honestly, if Yimi comes back and is even close to decent, we have a decent bullpen group. Fisher, Little, Y-Rod, Dominguez and Hoffman are all good pieces. Fluharty looks better after his minors stint. With the crazy prices for relievers right now, I'd rather not break the bank on an elite reliever and just settle for a solid middle relief guy like you said.
Also, most likely one of our starters will slide into the pen closer to playoff time. It was supposed to be Lauer, but he's pitched better than some of the other rotation guys, so it'll be interesting to see what they do there.
I think getting Bieber also closes the door on Manoah getting any run in the rotation this season. They'll likely keep him in the minors and then might bring him up into the pen too if needed (although idk how good he'd be there).

It's going to be another Berrios situation if he plays well
Jays will give him top dollar and they likely already spoke to his agent to see if he would be open on an extension - I'd be shocked if they didn't

Will be interesting to see the cost. It’ll be disappointing if we don’t add another power arm.

Yankees' front office clears the Jays' front office as expected.

Yankees are obsessed with closers. Seems like every year they pay big to have like 3 closers on the roster. But it doesn’t usually work out for them.

Makes you wonder what Atkins is doing if they weren’t finalists on Bednar.

The Yankees are finalizing a trade to acquire closer David Bednar from the Pirates, reports ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported earlier that the two sides were discussing a swap. The Yankees and Pirates are currently reviewing the medical records of the players in the deal, Rosenthal now adds.
Catching prospect Rafael Flores is headed to the Pirates in the deal, FanSided’s Robert Murray reports. Pittsburgh will receive two additional prospect as well, Jon Heyman of the New York Post adds.

Theoretically our middle relief should be much better come playoff times, since only 4 of those 6 will be in the starting rotation. That means 2 starters go to middle and long relief. Yariel and Little are quite often used in close games in middle innings... so they can be shifted more to the back end.
If healthy with one more solid reliever we can be quite solid, despite lacking that elite banger at the end.

Rafael Flores is Yankees 8th best prospect according to MLB pipeline.
