I wonder how the Yankees 8th best prospect compares to our prospects... I assume their 8th is ranked higher overall then our 8th?

They never should've dumped him to begin with. He was basically a salary dump. Good move though.

Seattle has made some nice moves recently. Should be a good team down the stretch.

Dipoto has done a nice job. But I don't trust ownership when it comes to providing the necessary funds. That's why this is likely only a rental.

Those rankings have to be a bit outdated based on what Passan said. Flores isn’t even on MLB’s Top 100.

Sure, but we only have 2 in the top 100 (Nimalla & Yesavage)... that's why I'm curious about the prospect rankings comparison from a Jays comparable prospect package standpoint since some our bemoaning why the Jays didn't get Bednar.

def want an arm. But I don't want to count on Loperfido and/or Schneider. Another bat would be really nice for depth.

No he does not. Same with Castro. Morosi must just mean "options", not "good options".

I wouldn't mind Laureano. But considering he has a team option next season and O's want to contend next season, the price for him will be astronomically high.

That tweet doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not trying to do that, too.

Atkins has to be working on something big, right? In past years fans may have wanted big moves but the team didn’t necessarily warrant such trades. That’s how we got deadline moves like Merrified and Mitch White.

When you have a 1st place team this late in the season it’s time to go all-in. At minimum they have to add an impact bullpen arm.

Still time, but I actually expected someone who wasn't a "prospect" to be traded. I thought possibly Wagner or Loperfido would be moved in a deal.

Versus lefties recently we have had to play Jimenez to start. We lack RHB's outside of the core starters.

So there is clearly a role for Tommy Pham to start vs LHP's, and he wouldn't cost much.
Is this a major needle mover - clearly no. But getting a RHB of this caliber is a simple low cost move for the team.

Part our strength has been massaging the lower level starters / bench players into the lineuo, and Pham would help in this regard as we lack Right Hand Bats.
