This deadline was a B max.

Could've easily been an A

Pretty upsetting that we couldn't acquire a single big name (Bieber doesn't count), given that we're in contention.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

Didn’t realize he was that **** I remember he was an allstar years ago. So underwhelming. Thought a first place team would be hitting homers at the deadline. But I guess it’s fitting that we’re just going for singles.

Agreee I thought for sure we’d go after a big name. We struck out on all of them. All of the rivals got them. Freaks me out. Reminds me of 2015 when the blue jays were only 500 but went all in for tulo and price and then leapfrogged the Yankees for number 1.

Now we’re number 1 but all the teams under us like Yankees and mariners made heavy moves and now look better

So our big afternoon move was a 1 million dollar 1st baseman and a $200,000 reliever

Swung for the stands!

Varland's velo up to 98 since becoming a full-time reliever, so they probably think there might be closer potential there and he's under team control for a long time.

Rojas has nasty stuff though and it could come back to haunt us if he ever puts it together.

It kills them to trade major value for rentals when they know the playoff odds can only change so much through these deals, yeah.

Gutless and beholden to their processes to the end.

The trade deadline you should have expected if you’re familiar with Ross and Shapiro since 2016. Never forget how Shapiro’s first meeting with AA went when he came on board.

Not a bad deadline, but Yankees did more. Not to mention other AL team (Tigers)

Need Varsho, Giminez to be back and to be good

They won’t but he’s an upgrade on Myles Straw taking ABs against LHPs at least.

They may want to actually try to get Santander on a baseball field again if possible though.
