Re: The Official 2025 Offseason Thread #5
Now most sport book have us projected at 30.5 to 31.5
I can easily talk myself into a better vibe this year getting rid of KD and Beal with a new coach and GM, so 31.5 is too low.

Clicked under on instinct but more I thought about it, we're probably a 35ish win team. I do think we're probably closer to a 30 win team than a 40 win team though, so I'm comfortable with 35 wins, ie over
I think our ceiling is pretty limited but floor could be quite low is my feeling

Middleton, while once a solid dude, is three steps too slow and doesn't have enough left in the tank to be a notable and worthwhile acquisition for us. Besides, we already have more than enough guards on the roster.

Math is not my forte, but 82 wins means I have to vote for "over", right?

He's mostly a wing/forward. Last season he played 75% of minutes at the 3 in Milwaukee then 97% at the 4 with Washington. He will almost certainly be a versatile 4 with the Suns.
If we can get him for the vet min, it wouldn't be a bad pick up. He brings a lot of veteran savvy to a team with a bunch of guys with less than 5yrs in the NBA and he's consistently been viewed as a pro's pro. If we're bringing in a mentor type guy who can still contribute on the court, he'd be great in that role.

Fair enough point. He'd have to come off the bench though as I'm sure they're expecting Brooks to start as well as Dunn. He'd be a grounded and dependable guy coming off the bench, so that might not be too bad.

He's a solid player and a surpassingly good playmaker. During the most competitive stretch of the Bucks championship trio he was either #2 or #3 in AST% and it wasn't like 2nd was 25% and he came in at a distance 3rd with 15%. He was at 20% in his first all-star season and peaked at just under 31% in 2023. For reference, Book has been just under 31% the past two seasons and about 27% the previous 5 seasons. He's also been solid at taking care of the ball as well. That's a good 2nd/3rd playmaker on the depth chart territory.
Hopefully he can regain his shooting form too

He is basically TJ Warren in his final 3-4 last years in the league at this point. A scorer if you allow him to be aggressive with the ball and a minus defender.

He's comfortably better than TJ of these past few years. Far better ball handler, playmaker, shooter and just overall more versatile. But no one should expect all-star Khris

That was a great move, and a foul. Hate the guy, but you can at least be honest about a call. #3 hit him in the back of the head

No I do not expect the Suns to consider adding Khris Middleton
I can't understand why a bet site is considered a reliable source about potential additions/trades/whatever. I have seen plenty of it in the last few years and 9/10 times is absolutely false.
We were favorites (by that site) to bring PJ Tucker, Westbrook and Beverly at some point lol. But the truth is that we were NEVER interested in them.
At some point people needs to ignore it, isn't?

Kuminga is a restricted free agent, correct?
Why not call GS bluff. I mean if Ishbia wants the (overrated) dude, put the 90 million guaranteed offer on the table. Force GS to match! If they match it, GS is flocked, that will hit their books hard.
It’s a win win even if Suns don’t get him. Forces GS to overpay!

Re: The Official 2025 Offseason Thread #5
Not a lot of talk lately about trading Grayson. Maybe in a new motion offense, we might think his shooting prowess can be handy as legit dribble attackers like Green and legit screening rolling bigs like Williams could pull the weak side cover off of him to be an effective dagger for the dish off? Was the best shooter in the game the year before, then Bud asks him to put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop more?!?! Maybe Grayson can be useful again?
