So my bet here is Grimes gets his $22M contract and we offload Oubre and Drummond. While for our rotation, Watford replaces Oubre and Bona with Broome as back-up replaces Drummond.

I actually deleted the post after reviewing the list, it looks like no one has signed for the full NTMLE yet, which makes a $22–25M contract for Grimes feel like an overpay. Before I checked, I was convinced he might be worth that range, especially considering how valuable a scorer like him could be next to Embiid given his health concerns.
As for your post, I agree.. it’s tough to justify paying the tax when the team is in such limbo. The most sensible move, in my view, is to shed Oubre and Drummond’s contracts. Watford and Walker can step into Oubre’s role, while Bona and Broome can take over for Drummond. That path keeps us flexible to deal with Grimes this upcoming season.
