I'm all about old-school, throwback stuff. And paying homage to the Mecca is cool and all. But I can't believe some people actually liked these.

Jerseys are like dresses on a woman. I told this story before but I was at a wedding with my MIL and she was like look at all those pretty dresses. Well the girls wearing the dresses were gorgeous and the dresses were nothing special. Giannis could be wearing the Pitt Steelers bumblebee jersey and I would rush out to buy it. A great player makes the jersey.

My issue with the Mecca alts were that they took a cool concept and went boring with it. They looked like what a 1980's movie would portray a McDonald's worker in the future would wear (trust me it makes sense).

I remember this fan concept that to this day would be the coolest sports uniforms ever made if they came to fruition

Seeing those images of the court got me pumped for season.

The blues sucked. Kept thinking I was watching the T-Wolves. But the marketing people wanted a color women would like.

These new Cream City ones look fantastic. I do still associate them the most with Jabari however.

Love the cream jerseys. Also, the Nike Freaks that had the Cream City colors were hands down the most beautiful Freaks.

So somewhere I read that the kings might actually like Kuzma a bit. Any chance that Monk (extra year than Kuzma has) and Keon Ellis for Kuzma and AJJ no picks involved might be doable?

Cream City jerseys are cool but the Irish Rainbow jersey is still easily the best uniform in the history of the franchise and should’ve been used as the city jersey instead. *shrug*

So when do we think the AJ Green extension is getting done?

Whether the Bucks see him as a long term starter (especially on a value contract) is a significant variable.

My hunch is Dairy Bird has the 2 spot on lock for some time. But committing to small ball with GTJ (or someone else) alongside might not be sustainable.

Horst: I think Gary Trent had his two best games of the season, maybe, in our two most important games of the season. In two closeout opportunities, the guy played unbelievable. And AJ Green was unbelievable also, and I think that says a lot about them. And don’t forget, these guys are 25, 26 years old, so they’re just entering their prime. And so I think the best is in front of those guys. I’m happy about them. They’re not just shooters. They’re tough, physical guys that can grind and defend, make a play off the bounce and those guys are going to be a lot better this year than they were last year.

AJ wants to be here, AJ wants to figure something out. Obviously, we’ve got to figure a deal out and we have the whole season to do it. I hope it doesn’t take that long. I think they hope it doesn’t take that long either, but as the dust starts to settle on a pretty busy offseason, that’ll be the most important thing for us to figure out with AJ. And I know he feels the same about trying to figure it out with us.

AJG has two options: bet on himself or take a deal to lock in the money now. If he bets on himself there’s two potential pitfalls: injury and teams lacking cap space. The latter means his salary could be capped at the MLE. If the Bucks offer something that’s 75% or so of the MLE and he can be a free agent again in his 20s, I think he’d take it.

I've always thought it works, but if not, I'd think they'd do Carter in place of Ellis.

The trick is finding a 3rd team for Monk.

Sam Amick on the latest with the Warriors, Kings and Kuminga stare down.

Suns being out is notable.

Also that Moody or Buddy might have to head out for Golden State to stay under the first apron which makes the current Kings offer that much less enticing.

Only the 22-year-old and his agent, Aaron Turner, know if he’s truly considering that problematic path [Kuminga taking the QO], but the Warriors are surely hoping this is a bluff. They want the salary slot that would come with him earning $21.75 million next season, just like they want him to waive the no-trade clause that would be built into that sort of deal as a means to their ultimate end: Adding more high-end talent around Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green in pursuit of yet another title.

Their Plan A at the moment is to shut down communication with interested teams en route to convincing Kuminga to take this current deal, one that would leave them just below the second apron luxury tax line. From there, the Warriors would (unofficially) plan on revisiting the Kuminga trade market closer to the February deadline.

Plan B — the Kings and Suns ideas — isn’t cutting it.

Per team sources, the talks between the Suns and Warriors have never progressed in any serious manner. So while it’s certainly notable that Phoenix is being so aggressive with its contract offer — four years and a combined $90 million, per ESPN — that part is irrelevant so long as Golden State continues to show zero interest in what the Suns have to offer.

As for the Kings, who last spoke with the Warriors earlier this week, team sources say they’ve offered a three-year, $63 million deal for Kuminga in a proposal that would send veteran guard Malik Monk and their 2030 first-round pick (lottery protected) to the Warriors (that deal would require the Warriors to move more salary elsewhere to stay under the first apron, likely Moses Moody or Buddy Hield). If that pick didn’t convey, then the Warriors would get the least favorable of the Kings or San Antonio’s first-round pick in 2031. Those protections have been the primary sticking point, team sources said, as the Warriors have insisted that the first-rounder be unprotected. Thus, the stalemate.

come on man. we dont always agree but sometimes we do. but this doesnt make sense. we should NOT be talking about trading for a worse player/fit than kuzma and talking about where we can reroute him for an upgrade. its summer time but we need to focus on good sense and practicality.

kuzma is not a longterm guy but for one year he gives us a swing, he gives a nice declining salary slot thats gonna explode with value within 12 months....and he gives us a 6'10" guy that can defend in ways that literally only giannis offers a 1-5 type of option. before anybody knocks that let me remind you of giannis level of defense at 1-5. its elite....but theres also some mediocrity involved with 1-5 defense. kuzma and giannis are VERY similar defensively.

i like....still.... the FACT.... that he makes us better with a much more smallish, shooting, fast, athletic, defense oriented roster and approach we have moving forward. with kuzma on board to "try it out" it gives us a HUGE additional weapon we can throw out there in a part time role when needed. hes not a difference maker in general of course.....but he offers levels of effort and ability on defense and maybe even spots on offense that may come in really handy for a year until we see this out and try to find the real longterm guy. the fact he was more efficient than portis, AT THE SAME **** POSITON, and massively more effective defensively for what were about to try and pull off is not being discussed enough....

can we just see how this goes for a few months before dumping him for the likes of the trash ive seen mentioned here lately? by literally dec of this current year we may have a completely different feel for what this team, and its new look is all going to be about.

He was far and away the worst player in the NBA last year. I'd guess roughly 25 teams consider him a huge negative asset. The Kings (and Lakers) have always liked him, and we should cash that in.

He did not make us better, we were worse with him on the floor, including defensively. We were actually better defensively with Portis on than Kuzma on. Also, Portis was 2.1 VORP better than Kuz. These 2 players don't compare.

In the deal we've discussed above, we added Keon Ellis. He's the best player in the deal, dramatically better than Kuzma. If you think Ellis is trash, you need to watch more ball.
