I truly don't think he realizes how serious this situation is.

Agreed. I mean people can gamble legally through sportsbooks now. But from your house it's some terrible thing? Ridiculous.

Guaranteed the US will look back on this in 50 years, 20 years, heck 5 years and the vast majority of the population 95% will ask why the heck this was illegal in 2025. People can killed constantly, women assaulted, guys are committing suicide at record rates, kids being abused/neglected, mental health crisis all day every day - So sorry I'm not concerned with what rich people do in their house & choosing to gamble. The law makes no sense. No-one is being harmed by someone in a gabling ring, unless you're arguing the route of someone being addicted to gambling or whatnot but that's on that individual person and not on the person setting up the opportunity for them to harm themselves (last I checked beer stores aren't held liable if someone's mental health spirals from drinking alcohol).

I think you're missing why he was arrested. It's not because of gambling that went on in his home. It's the fact that he was making money from it in a state where gambling is illegal. You can't just start up your casino business wherever you want in a state where gambling is illegal.

Also sports betting is illegal in California. States have their own laws. Even in states where gambling is permitted, you would need a permit to open a casino. Hell you need one in Nevada, there's a gaming commission that regulates things. You may see this as harmless but its the precedence that it sets where people can start running this as a business and it getting out of control. A lot of Casinos have things they are held to by state's regulation boards.

I think you're missing why we don't **** care.

Because it's not our money, not our house, and none of our damn business.

You government groupies are something else.

And yet you'd be the same guy to complain about homelessness. When society is allowed to run rampant and abuse things without order you have negative consequences. This isn't a government thing, I don't two flying **** about the government. Do you want to live in a society without order? That's basically what you're advocating for. May as well let kids drink alcohol at age 8 while we're at it too right because you don't give a ****, right?

Everything that centers around addiction whether it's food, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, gambling - it all has a negative effect on human beings. Human beings aren't able to control themselves with things enough without some form of regulation in place, or some form of law and order. I don't give a **** who governs it, but once you open a can of worms where you start allowing things that can run rampant without permits you will see the negative consequences that come from that.

If you can't really understand why some things exist to prevent a bigger issue from occurring then you're either naive or you're too young and haven't lived enough yet to understand why the world is a better place now with law and order than when civilization had none of this.

Shut up, dweeb.

And stop worrying about grown men gambling in their house with their own money.

Goofball.

I think people are really underplaying how funny some of this is. Guy buys a gold trimmed table and labels it "Arenas Poker Club." Dude must have not watched The Wire

Gil went on live stream yesterday talking about his Open case. He’s just not that bright.

Fed charges mixed up with dangerous people in organized crime. He hasn't been through this before.

Yea, lawyer probably told him to shut up, but he's out here being an idiot still. You don't realize that all that can affect the outcome. Not sure the guy understands that you not taking it serious or joking publicly like that can be used against you later.

This is different. They could seize all of his assets. Everything

His defense of "i just rented the house and didn't know" has absolutely no legs based on the feds having his text messages that completely and blatantly prove that he was actively involved.

He better hope to god that none of those girls that he took a % cut of their earnings from "companionship/massage services" turn out to have been 16/17 years old. That's the potentially ultra messed up part of this that no one is seeming to potentially mention.

I really don’t think this will make him care much more. His recent behavior has shown to be the case. Dancing after being released, going live. He just doesn’t take these things seriously.

He really isn’t. He’s on a path that doesn’t have a happy ending.

At least he’ll probably going out doing what he loves, prostitutes and gambling with international mafia members.
