Dreadful game

Offence looks like awful

Varsho keeps striking out
Barger looks like 2024 Barger - power but no results
France looks like a 26th man - Schneider and Straw are both better

2-3 more games without Springer and Kirk will end up being very costly

Fisher coming in down 7, that’s Varsho’s fault too

.240 obp shouldn't be batting anywhere other than 8 or 9.

Varsho is an elite defender that has some pretty solid power, but it's extremely hard to overlook his high strikeout rate combined with his low average and OBP. No idea how anyone – even his biggest fan – could possibly think that putting him at the top of the order is a good idea. He belongs in the bottom third of the order (potentially even 9th) when this team is fully healthy.

Have Varsho hit 9th when team is fully healthy. You can hide his atrocious batting average and on base in the 9th spot.

For the most part the offense was fine during that stretch, just RISP averaging down to counterbalance our improbably high RISP during the winning stretch. We're just getting PTSD tonight watching the offense struggle again with our mendoza hitter cemented back into the lineup.

Scored 4 runs, 4 runs and 2 runs in 3 losses against the worst pitching team in the league this week

Just fine though

40 hits over 4 games but 4 for 33 RISP over the losing streak. Just bad luck, the hits were there.

With how the Yankees loaded up yesterday with their elite bullpen now, and other additions- the Yankees when Judge comes back are primed to lead the AL East next week. This front office needed to do more yesterday, and they did not.

Varsho needed to be traded also, and bringing that malaise back in the lineup was unfortunately going to lead a downward trend in the offense. I said that was my biggest fear last week. We are seeing that now. Team reverts to a Pre-Varsho injury pathetic offense. The same joke offense from 2023 and 2024 also with .200 hitter Varsho as the catalyst.

9 years of this g.m...we still have most of our top 4-7 prospects, of which some will not pan out and those who do will be here in 2-5 years when this opportunity may not be there. Not only playing gor division, but first round by and losing to these hopeless teams...3 out of six to white Sox, 2 out 3 Oakland, 3 out 4 to Baltimore and now punting to k.c in front of packed crowd and beiber...

It's a bit shocking that the FO didn't do more to add a quality starter with their jobs on the line. Are we expecting Lauer to continue his miracle run? If not, our next best starters have 3.8 ERAs. Not sure how you can look at that and think this is fine, but maybe they were blinded by the winning streak? As one of the most valuable players in the league (allegedly), Varsho could have helped to bring one in for us.

It's very possible we'll slip to the wild card where management will put their clown suits on and do weird **** like run 9 pitchers in a game leading to another embarrassing end for us. Hope that's not the case, but the ball is in managements court to prove they can win in the playoffs.

May want to take a look at the SPs dealt yesterday, no starter on the market was better than Bieber.

Unfortunately Bieber doesn’t make their team any less of a fraud by himself. They’re 17 games over .500 on +17.

Bieber is at least a month away from coming back. By then the Jays may have fallen out of a wild card spot

Not even counting Bieber as a quality starter given he hasn't pitched in 2 years. This FO is infamous for dollar store shopping but with their jobs on the line and a real chance to do something this year, we went back to the clearance bin for goodies. Couple good BP arms added, but it will take more than that.

Varsho’s fault

I tell you what, this organization has Myles Straw next year for about half of Varsho will be expected to make in arbitration which is 10 million or so. Straw is still an elite defender and can provide what Varsho does defensively. Given how injury prone Varsho has been this year, and terrible at the plate overall- I can see this front office wisely walking away from that guy at the 10 million price tag in the off-season. You are free to still cheer for Varsho wherever he lands next year.

Every Strikeout, every Pop Up and the occasional home run while hitting .200 can still be admired by you from afar. Varsho can actually excel playing for a stacked team like the Dodgers. Just worry about playing defense and that is it. You can still be a Varsho fan as long as he is not with the Jays. I frankly had enough of his Strikeouts and Horrible at Bats for three years. Enough is enough. Watching this malaise being inserted back into this lineup was my biggest fear. I said so last week that they should trade him before he comes back.

Every inning he comes to bat, the opposing pitcher is licking his chops, and waiting to throw high fastballs so this fool Varsho can chase them. The most joy I had watching this team the past 10 years was when Varsho was on the sidelines, and this team going on an insane run. The joy is over inserting this malaise back into the lineup. He brings everyone else in the lineup down to his pathetic level. Three years of Varsho striking out like a fool chasing bad pitches is more than enough for me. You are still expected to come to the plate 4 times as a hitter. His great catches he provides does not erase his pathetic at bats in every game he plays. Go cheer for whatever team he hopefully lands in next year.
