Uecker. Clearly he’s getting us that World Series. Only explanation for this.

Never thought I'd see Perkins not make that play. That's like a 99-percenter for him. Hope his defense doesn't slip post-injury. We need him, and we already have too many formerly elite defenders who have been oddly ordinary this year (Frelick, Turang).

Conteras getting his groove back would be huge.

Ortiz simply not sucking and Contreras remembering he's one of the best at his position would be the biggest deadline acquisitions in the league.

I'm hoping the coaches can work their catching magic on Jansen. He's one of the worst pitch framers in baseball.

I've watched Vaughn's dinger about a dozen times because it's hilarious. Dude was on the verge of being out of the sport and all of the sudden he's smashing meaningful homers for the best team in baseball. What a story.

Vaughn has been a revelation and a **** stud. I hope he can harness this through October.

It's kind of crazy to think that for more than a season and a half straight, Yelich was almost as good at the plate as Vaughn has been in this small sample for the Brewers, albeit with more walks and less slugging. His clutch RBI hitting was even better than his baseline numbers, iirc, and he had tremendous base-running value while (somewhat undeservedly) finishing in the top 3 in gold glove voting in 2018. I don't think people around baseball talk enough about how good Yelich was, although it's understandable considering how inconsistent he has been since.

Completely agree about Yelich. It is such a shame he had the fluke knee injury that cost him his second consecutive MVP in 2019. I think he would've had a decent chance at the Hall of Fame had he stayed healthy that year.

I think a career WAR of 55 will probably get someone in nowadays. He's at 43.8 right now. The way he was raking in '19, he probably would've had another 1-1.5 career WAR, which would have put him around 45.5 by the end of this season. Another 4-5 decent years would've put him around that 55 mark. With 2 MVPs, and zero off-the-field issues, that might have made him a decent candidate.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
