Presuming this is the team we go into the regular season with and no incoming trades.
Cade-34/Ivey-14
Ivey-16/Levert-24/Holland-8
Ausar-12/Robinson-24/Holland-12
Tobias-30/Ausar-18
Duren-24/Stew-24
I could see Levert playing some point forward, but I think we need a backup 1 like a Schroeder type.

I really can’t see Duren being happy with the lowest minutes in his NBA career

I just see him constantly getting into foul trouble. He played 29.1 the year before, then 26.1 last year. Stew went from 30+ mpg down to 19.9mpg last year... Duren starts and gets a chance to play all he can, but if he's in foul trouble, getting lost during defensive switches, then you have Stew.

Then I suggest he work on his defense.

Yeah, I'm hoping that the training wheels will be off -- or at least less liberally applied -- next season.

Re: 2025-2026 Rotation/Minutes
Let's see rotation minutes revised with about 20 a game for a (hopefully) newly resigned Malik!

Re: 2025-2026 Rotation/Minutes
If Beasley does come back, given what we have, it’s definitely looking like small ball some of the time.
My assumptions:
Tobias played 31.6 mpg last year, I’d expect that to drop to 30. Last year was only his age 32 season, but he’s averaged 70 games a year for 14 years already. Gotta take it a little easier on him, he’s greatly needed for our best basketball when it counts.
Stewart will play very little if any power forward. He didn’t last year, and JBB knows how good he was on defense as a center. I expect our two-man center rotation to continue just as it did before, with Stew covering for Duren’s occasional foul trouble and playing more in tight games.
Both Ausar and Holland and maybe Robinson will be utilized as small ball 4’s when Tobias rests. Ausar does just fine there, but he’s even better guarding quicker players, so it won’t be often. Holland isn’t ready for this responsibility, but he needs minutes wherever he can get them, and he’ll be nasty on the break against bigger guys. DR would be true small ball, as he can’t rebound the position but can really contort defenses this way.
Ivey will start, leaving LeVert as the actual backup point guard. When both are on the floor, though, Ivey will run some offense, too.
No regular rotation minutes for Sasser or Reed. We have too many better players. I don’t feel bad for BBall Paul, as he got paid and knows his role as 4th/5th big and a rotation player if any of Duren, Stew or Tobias miss games. I do feel bad for Sasser, though. His spot on the roster is poorly used — his role is like Reed’s if Cade, Ivey or Caris get hurt, but he’s not actually good at playing PG. Dealing him somewhere he can get minutes for any kind of vet 3rd PG would be a smart move and nice for Marcus. I’m sure he’s not very happy right now.
So, this is what it looks like to me:
PG — Cade 34, LeVert 14
SG — Ivey 28, Beasley 20
SF — Ausar 28, Robinson 20
PF — Tobias 30, Holland 18
C — Duren 26, Stewart 22
I didn’t include some small minutes stuff like DR at PF, Holland at SG, etc, but there will be some matchup variations for extra shooting, extra defense, etc. Bottom line is. If both Malik and Duncan are on the roster, neither is going to get as many minutes as they are used to, and neither is Caris. If you run ten deep, the minutes get tight. We’re definitely well-equipped for an injury to anyone but Cade, and to a lesser extent, Tobias.

Re: 2025-2026 Rotation/Minutes
All starters approximately 30minutes
All bench guys approximately 18minutes
Take turns sitting out games.
If a starter sits other than a center, split up those 30 minutes between 4 bench guys. Approximately 25mins/game
If a bench guy sits, other than a center, split up those 18minutes between 3guys.
Approximately 24mins/game
If Duren sits, Stew30 Reed18
If Stew sits Reed18
The non centers would miss 10games. In this era of load management that's normal.
This keeps us deep in case of an actual injury like what happened last yr with Ivey.
Or we could trade Robinson Tobias Sasser and 1sts for Markkanen lol but I still think his 45million contract is way too much to take on. Unless Utah would do it for that pkg

I say go with the guy playing the best/hardest.
