"you don't expect vladdy to strike out"

Lmao, of course he watches strike 3 go by and loperfido gets thrown out. Hilarious outcome

Quibble about ball or strike, whatever. Vladdy is never ready to swing. He's always looking to take the walk

They’re banking on Vlad not striking out which he rarely does

It was the right play - however can’t plan for poor umpiring

Good take. You can’t be swinging at that crap.

Check Gameday, it was on the corner

Closer than I thought. But still a ball. And even more obvious in real time.

Swing the bat

Why swing at a ball? It's poor umpiring.

Felt like he was being more aggressive immediately after the ASB. This series it feels like he’s back to the passive approach he had pre-ASB

Do advance stats take into account "incomplete plate appearances"

Striking out on an actual ball 4.
Walking on an actual strike 3.

Same with the pitchers.

Just see which players are aided and hindered by the "impartial" umpires.

I feel like he got got hosed that at-bat. Took a close pitch for called strike 1. Then checked swing but was called for strike 3.

Strange hold given that there was 2 outs which warrants more risk.

Also swung at a pitch way off the plate, he made his own bed there

Would have been a terrible risk given where Varsho was when the outfielder got to the ball

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
