Also since there was 2 outs, there was no need for Clement to go for third there. He also risks a situation where he gets caught at 3rd before Varsho crosses home.

Blame Febles (for not taking the risk) and Clement there.

Rather send him then have him test that injured hamstring in a run down lmao

Edit: second thought probably should've went station to station there idk why Ernie thought he should turn hard gotta read your 3rd base coach there.

Play is right in front of Clement, brutal awareness from him

2 outs, scoring position, varsho is the runner, you’re going on contact, should’ve just sent him… clement **** up but I fully expected 2 runs on a single with 2 outs…

If you send Varsho there, it’s almost as bad a send as Grisham yesterday in the Yankees/Marlins game

Out by a mile

That pitch being just high was the exact same difference from Guerrero being outside.

Really helped Lugo’s pitch count as well. Unfortunately.

Yah on initial look I wanted them to send. On replay the left fielder had it in his glove as Varsho was touching 3rd. Would have been an easy play

He’d be at 50 pitches or so if we didn’t run into 2 outs this game yeah

And the Royals pen is quite a drop off compared to him

62 pitches for Bieber, I doubt he’s pitching next weekend against the Dodgers then

Probably the next outing after that

Varsho would have been out by a mile, the ball was hit hard at the LF and the ball was already in his glove as Varsho was rounding third.

Hoping Bassitt doesn’t completely lose his mind after that pitch on the corner wasn’t called

Watching Bassitt when he enters headcase mode in these innings is just an aggravating experience

What a weird pitcher

Of our main guys hes the least i want to see start a playoff game could see a season ending down 5-0 after the first type of outing
