Warriors if you dont want Monk, any interest in a Klay reunion? Pretty please.

Robinson was Beasley's replacement. It seems an awful lot like LeVert was Schroder's.

Who do you think OKC would trade first, Cason Wallace or Nikola Topic?

Only reason to even contemplate taking Topic is his deal is cheap for a year longer than Cason.

They are not close in value IMO. Cason has proven to be not just playoff but championship caliber rotation guy. Topic has shown nothing.

Like, Cason averaged 22mpg in the NBA finals as a 21 year old. That is tremendously impressive. I doubt Topic would tally that many minutes over the entire 7 game finals series if healthy.

We'd still have to dump Moody or Hield to stay under the first apron, unless Sacramento is willing to basically max Kuminga

My understanding (maybe wrong?) is that they could keep Moody/Hield but would be hard capped at the 1st apron. Adding Klay they still stay 8.5 million under the Apron, giving them plenty of room to work in Horford. GPII/Melton have to be minimum guys at this point right?

That's not really enough room unless Horford takes less than previously agreed. GPII could be somewhat over a min guy.

Random thought... which recent-ish draft pick was a bust that you think would have been a good pro if drafted to a different team/environment?

Marvin Bagley gets taken by Orlando or slips about 10 spots. Taking away the stigma of being taken before Luka. I don’t think it guarantees anything, but I think it helps the possibility.

Kris Dunn slips in his draft (was taken 5th overall) and is allowed to develop more naturally.

Maybe Anthony Black if he was on a team with better spacing.

Been a while and neither side would actually do it… Can we build a Castle/AD trade now? Victor/AD is as good as there is. Fox/Harper could be great.

Dallas hopefully extends PJ, finishes outside play-in and goes with Kyrie/Castle/Flagg/PJ/Lively through their pick debt. Or trades PJ and Gafford and tanks this season

Castle fits well with Klay to start the season and Kyrie when he returns. What do you think the filler would be to make the salary work? And what type of incentive should SA provide?

Poku . If he had gotten tanking minutes for 3 seasons and wasn’t injured that much at unfortunate timings.

He could have been MVP.

I wouldn't be in favor of swapping Day-to-Davis for Michael Carter-Williams, but... Barnes, Johnson, Castle + 2026 FRP (unprotected SAS w/ ATL swap rights) + the protected CHI FRP?

Never really drew one out I don’t think?

But if I were trying one?

Carter Bryant, Castle, Keldon, Barnes to Dallas
AD and Naji to SAS
Olynyk into some team MLE/TPE (technically separate trade, but keeps SAS out of the tax)

Flipping Barnes before season starts hopefully.

Probably send Prosper and Williams to backfill roster spots under the tax for SAS?

Ideally you still finish outside of play-in in 2026 and hope for Peterson luck, but you take the chance of Carter being your long term PF. You can run any of PJ, Cooper, Carter together for a few years while the kids develop. Castle has Klay and Kyrie.

Using Carter as the team would have AD/Sochan at the four and think they should keep their future firsts for when they retool in 3 years.. But that retool is true with or without AD imo, due to Fox’s max

I tried to draw out one myself.. But the Chicago pick is gone, Sac took LaVine instead of getting it.

And the deal has to be a bit bigger to keep SAS under the tax.

As for the base idea… I agree. Dallas wouldn’t do it most likely. You have to see if Flagg is as good as you think he is. And if he is, then you want Davis and Kyrie.

But I’d really like to end the season with a top 8 pick (really top 4..) before Dallas goes four drafts without their draft pick… And you keep PJ/Kyrie to try to raise the floor for the kids the first couple years.

think they do johnson/olynyk/sochan/castle + picks. they need barnes/bryant for shooting to play with AD/Fox. Sochan cant/shouldnt share floor with them, and Naji's poor shooting makes him an iffy fit as well.

Wemby/Kornet
AD/Barnes
Bryant/Champagnie
Vassell/
Fox/Harper

is a solid top 9
