Gyokeres gone.

Sucks that he only wanted Champions League. If Manu did apparantly have money. He would have been a good one.

There was never a real link.
Some agent who's working for Sporting launched this in the media to put pressure on Arsenal to raise their bid.
They failed.

You cannot make this up… Rashford saying he feels at home at Barcelona.

Two games in and United are looking a lot better than last year. Let's see where it goes but I'm predicting United will be at least in a tight fight to be top 4. Didn't hire much but hired well and the squad seems to be playing much better under Amorim's system.

I still believe he's the manager who will make United relevant again.

I didn't watch the Leeds game but watched Bournemouth and holy smokes, we look like a team that can pass. Hojlund scored a nice goal and his hold up play seemed actually pretty good, which is an improvement from non-existent.
Dalot looked meh, loving Dorgu and Amad is my guy. We need Bruno up the pitch.

I don't expect a top four battle and that's mostly to try and temper my expectations based on watching one game.

Ugarte has had some awful moments on this preseason trip. Both his getting dispossess against Bournemouth and Everton lead to goals. We really need a new midfielder before the season starts.

Ugarte is not a bad player but he definitely isn't a guy who provides a lot of construction, and in modern football that is a killer to play at the highest level. I agree United needs a better center midfielder, however Ugarte is at least OK to play with until a good one is found. It's not like he will be a negative. To fight for the top 4 he's OK as a rotation guy.

Once Sesko is through the door.....

Please find any midfielder that can pass.

Then find any goalie that can stop the ball without me holding my breath on every shot.

How good is Sesko in your opinion? Is he a lot better than Pavlidis?

Seems like any time United buys a player it costs a tremendous amount of money.

Honestly, no one will be able to give you a definitive answer. Despite having all the traits you'd look for, Sesko hasn't put together the type of season that would make one a firm believer. It's a bet on potential, much like Højlund was.

I'm not saying it's the wrong approach, but I do feel as if Watkins may have been the better buy, similar to Cunha and Mbeumo. Manchester United needs to find a way back into Europe. Because Watkins has proven he can score in the PL, his impact would be felt this year, which you cannot say with certainty for Sesko.

I think he is going to be a surprise. Hoijland was not set up well and didnt prove much before coming in at 20.

Sesko is 22 and has had some success, not a ton. Key factor is Sesko has Mbuemo and Cunha feeding him the ball. Amad and Dorgo whipping stuff from the edge. As long as he can put it in the net. Looks like we have a new Sporting Gyokeres.

Still tbd obviously.

It be nice if United can sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton. Preseason games I've watched, United's midfielders have struggled with dribbling out of their own half.

We definately dont have 100 mil to spend. But everyone has been wrong all summer. I am 100% on board.

Give me Belaba and Donnaruma. We might be looking top 5 if we play like it.

Hell of a summer if it happens.

If we can’t get Donnaruma, I don’t mind Senne Lammens.
