That is outrageous money for Fox. Spurs can get away with it for a couple more years though because Wemby is still on his rookie contract.

They probably want a big salary for trade matching. They have Castle and Harper. The fit and term is too weird for it to not be trade related. The part they got lost on is that Fox is going to be an albatross contract. I don't think he's want teams want. He's IQ sized and can't shoot. How often are those types of players successful?

I think SAS just secured the primary salary to match Giannis.
That should be San Antonio

Give me IQ all day.
Give me neither - both vastly overpaid - at least in SA defence it could be argued that it was done with Giannis in mind - the Raptors have no excuse.

RFA is intended to guide the player back to his team and this idea hinders that - the NBA wants to help teams retain players not help players get more money.

In what year? Milwaukee isn't going to want to touch that contract, either.

I’m sure Milwaukee will be chomping at the bit at the thought of getting their hands on that contract. Perfect way to move into the non-Giannis era with another bad contract to go along with Dame and Turner’s bad contracts.
Spurs playing 4D chess.

I think Fox will be bolted to San Antonio with that deal. More likely is Ron Harper creates havoc in San Antonio to get his son out of there as soon as he's cut his teeth in the league. The Spurs will be packaging him with a contract for someone pretty good, but not Giannis-level.

32.5 is perfectly fine for a starting PG, especially since the AAV doesn't go up, but the cap does. I get that some are down on IQ, but some of the complaints are getting absurd

Interesting that Boston is now $9.4m above the tax.
I have little doubt they’ll be below by trade deadline.
Niang trade saved them $50,000,000

You can make the argument that IQ is slightly overpaid.
Vastly overpaid is ridiculous.

And AGAIN, he has a flat contract vs most others whose keep increasing. They paid more for the 1ST 2 years to have the next 3 be better.
Context matters

Except you are wrong. Again, guys like Fox are getting paid 25 million more than IQ.
But keep on doing your shtick

If Kuminga is being offered 21 million to start from the Kings, that means Warriors can’t do the deal for Monk and a 1st without giving up Moody or Hield which they don’t want to do, However the deal work for Terrence Mann making 15.5 million. Nets have reportedly expressed interest in RJ in the past.
According to the spot trac checker this works
Kings: Kuminga(21 million)
Warriors: Terrence Mann, 1st rounder
Nets: RJ
Raps: Monk
This saves nearly every 9 million and gets us under the tax comfortably even if IQ achieves his unlikely bonuses. Would you do it straight up or would you want some more compensation? I think Terrence Mann for RJ for the Nets is straight robbery so maybe they would be willing to throw some 2nds at minimum. Though they are taking on salary and times are tight around the league flexibility-wise.

When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

Just one all-star appearance in his career. Demar, for example, had 6.

All Star West >>>>>>> East. Much harder to achieve and bigger competiton. Curry, Paul, Harden, Thompson etc were locks for a whole decade. Demar had Kemba as a competitor lmaooo
