And Bria definitely walks the line between physical and dirty. She's the one that yanked Angel's hair earlier this season.

No one will say anything tomorrow about it on First Take, that's for sure.

Hartley is a dirty player. That's the 3rd time this season I've seen her do something like this

Interesting. Reeve now has 3 Coach of the Month awards - and 4 Coach of the Year awards.

Fortunately 2 weeks would only be 4 games.

Hope she heals quickly.

Sykes to Seattle for AC and a 2026 1st.
Solid for both teams.

Love it for the Mystics. They continue to make smart moves. Sykes is awesome, but they aren't winning a title this year. Sug, Jade, and Olsen are playing well

Seattle probably had to do something. Not sure if Sykes is enough to get them over the hump, but it's worth a shot.

They desperately needed another scorer, but I worry about them adding another scorer that's not a big 3-point threat.
Adding Sykes is basically doubling down on what they already do well. Which could work, but it's far from certain.

Gabby and Slim should make for a great pair of long perimeter defenders.

Storm had 3 1st's next year. Their own, Sparks, and Aces. They traded their own in this deal.

Sparks pick seemed like the crown jewel early in the season. But the trade increases the already growing likelihood that the Sparks make the Playoffs (assuming it mostly knocks the Mystics out of contention, which seems to be their goal).

It wouldn't be terribly shocking for the Storm to miss the Playoffs. They are only 3 games up on the Sparks.

If the Aces and Sparks make the Playoffs while the Storm miss it then this trade will be a huge cluster****.

With 2 expansion teams, the difference between a lottery pick and a non-lottery pick is even more than usual.

Koclanes still rolling 4 guards against a team with JJ and Messeman (Quinerly and Arike small guards at that).

He doesn't have a ton of options, but unless he's a mad genius, it's pretty obvious that his marching orders are to win the lottery.

Though I do really like the Paige/Haley Jones big guard pairing.

Switching to Arike/Paige/Haley/Siegrist/Li Yueru is actually a pretty interesting one against the Liberty. Mix in some Geiselsoder, and that's a lineup that can match some Liberty size.

Nice quarter for the Wings. Paige is a bad, bad woman.

That New York crowd forgot who the home team was there for a minute.

Mystics are off and they don't have an answer for Cardoso yet, but they are hanging around.

Feels like they've got a comeback in them.

BTW, Mystics might be a bit of a poverty franchise, but how many other teams have dedicated local pre-game and halftime studio shows?

Maybe I'm missing something, but are the Mystics the only one to have both?
I think the Valks have a pre-game studio show. Halftime, I can't think of anybody. Every team I see on League Pass seems to have the WNBA version of elevator music during halftime, or maybe teams like the Valks, Liberty, and Mercury actually showing on-court half time shows.

It was a loss, but Dom is really starting to look more comfortable.

Still doing 19 year old stuff, but so much more smooth and confident than 2 months ago.

Still 2-3 years out, but she's going to be an unsolvable problem at some point.

I just have to say this, but the league needs to start calling for some kind of assault charges against people who are throwing dildos onto the court.

Last night someone hit Sophie with one. What if that hit her in her eye? Or she ran and slipped on it and injured herself?

This needs to stop. It's not funny and there are kids in the audience of these games. It's trash behavior.

On the one hand, seems like kind of a weird fit, Sheldon isn't great but she's an absolute sniper from 3 (one of 2 active players shooting over 29% from 3 for the Sun lol), and the Sun just spent a 1st round pick on Aneesah Morrow

On the other hand, I love it when a former Husky plays for the Sun, and Aaliyah Edwards was great for UConn when she was there.

Now I just need a Marina Mabrey trade. No hate, she's a good player, but she kind of hijacks the offense and is not good at being a 1st option. Similar with Tina Charles, I love her she's a bad fit with ONO. The Sun have a -25.5 Net rating in 392 minutes they've played together this year, and Charles has the worst +/- per100 of the team this year at -18.6, while ONO is positive. I don't want her traded because she won't get much of value and she's a great person to have around the team for non-basketball reasons, but going forward the starting lineup should be Rivers, Lacan, Morrow, Edwards, and ONO

Not great, and questionable fit with Morrow and Edwards, but all of those players are under 25 (for the next week, ONO turns 25 in 10 days, everyone else is 23 or younger there), so a youth movement.

Don't love the trade for Washington, but they almost had to trade AE because they couldn't protect her in the expansion draft.
Really liking the Mystics' philosophy right now.

But Jacy and the right to move from pick 15 to pick 14 doesn't seem like nearly enough.

If NaLyssa was worth a 1st, so was AE.
