Yes, he ruined our tank last year. He won us like 4 games in the 4th quarter. Got hot. Surprised no contender signed him..he could be that sneaky good signing for a contender. Maybe a deadlinectrade after getting his value up. Enjoyed him as a raptor

Can’t believe we didn’t get anything for him even a 2nd round pick.

Yeah I was stunned because a team like Denver or New York could have used an extra warm body to throw into games.

We totally boned this guy by sitting him out because he was costing us Ls. Guaranteed he's gonna end us in a play-in game.

We probably made him lost alot of money, granted we overpaid him on his last contract but still, that's pretty lame of the FO to hurt his money like that.

imo the CBA should allow teams to retain salary of traded players so that the Boucher's of the league can be moved at the deadline. It works well in the NHL.

Unless there are more roster changes, Boucher could start.

At the moment, the Celtics have no other credible big forwards. Hauser would be out of position playing 4. Minott and Walsh are raw and unproven. Brown might see some spot pf minutes, but if he does it for any length of time he'll get worn down. He's already carrying a huge load. The Boston centers are inexperienced too.

This is a real opportunity for Boucher.

It's 3 years. 10 years I believe you'd get full benefits for Life. Don't quote me on that. MLB you get a pension after 10 years I believe

He’s still got a bit left in the tank, especially since he’s barely been playing. Will be interesting to see how he does.

With that frontcourt rotation he might be starting in BOS.

We lost him exactly $0.

No one needed to watch Boucher play on a tanking team to decide if they were going to pay him this off-season. The money around the league is just dried up.

100% agree. It would make salary matching for trades so much easier and would help facilitate a ton of trades.

Boucher was simply in a tough spot to trade because we had to take back on salary to move his salary, and we likely did not want to take back any additional years.

Multiple deadlines in a row. I honestly thought Boucher could fetch value and don't understand it. But it seems like the NBA doesn't like something about him.

We’d rather hold onto him to sit on the bench for some weird reason.

Do you honestly think a player like PJ Tucker or Kelly Olynyk have more value?

Do you honestly believe our FO sat him for a 'weird reason' and turned down free assets knowing they were going to let him walk in Free Agency?

Actually, yes, I do.
PJ plays "the right way" and can defend the big wings. Enforcer out there too.
KO is able to defend the small ball Centres (or at least he was a couple years back) and stretch the floor.
I love Boucher, but he was too skinny to actually play in the post. His strength on D was weak-side blocks and running out to the 3pt shooters. He often did not play within his role on O, which can be a negative for the type of playoff teams who would be willing to part with a 2nd for him.

Both PJ and KO were more trusthworthy players in the playoffs, and so had more value to those types of teams.

He really only got this deal in BOS because their Frontcourt depth is absolutely shot after losing both Tatum and Porzingis. They needed a stopgap during a stealth tank season - and Boucher is perfect for that.
