Knicks-Warriors-Bucks trade idea

Post#1 » by Rodimus921 » Wed Aug 6, 2025 5:38 pm

Golden State Warriors receives :

Kyle Kuzma
Mitch Robinson

Why for the Warriors ?

Kuminga wants out , they replace him with kuzma who can either start or come off the bench. They finally get a real center in Mitch Robinson.

Milwaukee Bucks receives :

Karl Anthony Towns
Jonathan Kuminga via S&T
Knicks pick swap 2026
Knicks pick swap 2030
Knicks unprotected 2032
Wizards top. 8 protected pick 2026

Why for Bucks ?
If Giannis decides that he wants out and wants New York, the Bucks get players that can still keep them in the playoffs. Towns is an all nba 2nd team , Kuminga is finally getting the minutes to be a focal point on the team. Bucks also get draft compensation.

Knicks Receives :

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Why for the Knicks ?

A lineup of Brunson Hart Bridges OG Giannis will be the best in the East.

I mean sure to the OP, but a Brunson - Bridges - Anunoby - Towns - Robinson/Hart lineup wasn't exactly far from being the best in the East just a few months ago :dontknow:

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

Hard pass for Golden State, I don't think that package as a whole is even positive value (and I doubt it works under the apron rules anyway)

Knicks cant trade 2032 1st, they owe 2031 to nets.

Not sure why the Warriors are in this trade (besides becoming the dumping ground for Kuzma).

I personally would love a KAT for Giannis trade, and I would quite willingly add multiple firsts to sweeten the pot. This said, I don't know how valuable multiple Knicks firsts would be when we'd be rolling out a Brunson/McBride - Bridges - Anunoby - Giannis - Robinson/Hart/Yabusele lineup for the next few years, especially considering that we're arguably at 2nd in the East currently without Giannis (but with KAT). Surely, the Bucks can do better than this, right?

All this to say, I don't see a Giannis trade forthcoming with the Knicks as a partner.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the OP is putting Kuminga's salary at, but the Warriors are receiving over 35MM in salary, and sending out half of whatever Kuminga is signing for.

Try again: why for the Warriors? Other than “we need to dump garbage off on someone so that my Knicks can steal Giannis,” I mean.

Not even close enough for you guys to fantasize about. Lmao @ KAT & Kuminga “keeping the Bucks in the playoffs” as your reasoning, I’m sure that was written with a laugh. Maybe the worst Giannis trade I’ve seen yet, congrats

Amazing deal for the Knicks, terrible for everyone else. This feels like a homer pipedream trade. That is not nearly enough for Giannis, and the Warriors would be better off risking Kuminga walking for nothing than bringing in Kuzma.
