Josh Giddey and Jonathan Kuminga trade incoming ?
https://www.hoopshype.com/story/sports/nba/rumors/2025/08/07/warriors-interested-in-josh-giddey/85567499007/
Bulls don't want to pay Giddey what he wants it seems and they have reportedly been keen on Kuminga for a while.
I think it would be a great deal for the Dubs, a Steph/Giddey back court would be fun to watch.
Chicago continue to be one of the worst run franchises in all of US Sports.

Could work but just checking is Josh shorter than 6-7 because if not Kerr won't give him a minute of play

If the Bulls agreed to that it would be awful. I'm no fan of Arturas Karnisovas, but he went after Giddey and then let him lead the team in the 2nd half of the season. I'd be surprised if he was willing to trade him for Kuminga.

The interest was Kuminga's camp, not the other way around.

Re: Josh Giddey and Jonathan Kuminga trade incoming ?
Bulls would be stupid to do that trade.
Giddey flourished with the Bulls once he became the primary ballhandler and some of the vets got out of the way. I don't see him wanting to go right back into a situation where he has to wait for his turn again. Kuminga might put up some nice counting stats on their roster, but he's not going to lead that team anywhere.
If Giddey's camp is hellbent on the 30M a year, Bulls should honestly just give it to him. They have no franchise player and only one bad contract on their team (Patrick Williams), someone needs to get that money. They're thinking too much.

Why would anyone want Kuminga?

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Giddey can barely dunk. Bulls should definitely do it - Kuminga is a great dunker. Very athletic too.

The Bulls are already developing a slashing 4 with huge upside, why trade for another one? Giddey fits, and can only get better.

They don't want to pay him what JG wants.
He may not end up at the Dubs but I don't think he will be at the Bulls next season either.

Highly doubt it-I can still see the Bulls going after Kuminga, but Giddey will be back in Chicago.

Would be a horrible trade. Giddey is a better player in a vacuum and would play a larger role on the Bulls than Kuminga would. Also wouldn't make a whole lot of sense due to roster construction of Chicago.

Giddey in Golden State is an odd fit. So odd i don't think he'll be of help to them. Bad trade for the Warriors if these are more than rumors.

I don't see this happening at all. Giddey wants 30m a year and even if GSW were willing/able to pay him why would the Bulls want Kuminga unless the Warriors are taking back Patrick Williams he and Buzelis are the starting SF/PF.
(AFAIK the only way the Warriors could make Giddey an offer that high is if there was a sign and trade w/ Kuminga.)
I would just lock in your predictions.

I would much rather have Giddey than Kuminga. I do not get why Bulls and Kings are so interested in that Kuminga guy, but I guess thats why they are Bulls and Kings...
Bulls want Giddey, they just do not want to overpay him, this one of the few smart things Bulls FO did.

And where it took them, with "flourishing Giddey and White" ?
To play in game, to lose by 19 by Heat, same Heat that will go on and get humiliated in playoffs.
Giddey is in same boat as younger versions of Fultz and Lonzo Ball. In theory, they can "run" rosters if you put enough shooters around them. But in reality much like Lonzo & Fultz, GIddey simply isn't good enough to build roster around. You can factor in Ben Simmons as well.
Giddey simply isn't that good of a player all together, all things considered.
He needs ball to be effective but in same time his pick&roll game is mixed bag because he isn't that good of a shooter off dribble ( or all together). He is painfully mediocre finisher around rim for a size, because he isn't that athletic nor has much burst.
Despite taking majority of shots around paint, he never showed ability to draw enough fouls. Final result is career 53,5% TS.
He can't attack paint like most other PGs can and that results in less defensive breakdowns. That forces GMs into taking very specific role players around him just to fit his game.
And unlike Ben or Lonzo... His defense... Man... He can't guard any position. Even in regular season. He is too slowfooted to defend guards. And too weak to defend wings. He is complete liability on that end all the time.
So why would Bulls, or any other team pay him $30M? What he did so far in his career to be worth it?
OKC won title by moving away from him, and during his "breakout " year with Bulls only won 39 games and missed playoffs. On East. Make no mistake about Bulls, they had 15-27 record vs winning teams. They just played Nets, Wizards, Hornets, 76ers and Raptors enough times to polish record.
vs Nets 2-1
vs Wizards 3-1
vs Hornets 3-1
vs 76ers 2-2
vs Raptors 4-0
That is 14-5 vs bottom of East, meaning they were 25-38 against rest of a league, including Western tankers.
I agree that Bulls don't have franchise player. But they also shouldn't do what Kings did and just added most painful mediocrities on high usage- low efficiency and be stuck for ages in No man's land.
At the end of a day, winning 35-45 games in NBA is road to nowhere. Winning 35-45 games with overpaid mediocrities is just being ran by complete morons.
Bulls probably should just tear roster down ( trade White, not sign Giddey and trade or cut Vuc) and start over.

Re: Josh Giddey and Jonathan Kuminga trade incoming ?
Assuming they sign for roughly the same salaries, I have Giddey as worth considerably more. Until he can thrive within the flow of an organized offense, Kuminga's highest and best use is as a 6-MOY candidate.

Funny how this works.
Giddey literally put up "nice counting" stats on the Bulls last year, who went nowhere. You then want the Bulls brass to pay him what he wants regardless because "that money has to go somewhere" like

But this wouldn't be so funny if you didn't just accuse Kuminga of potenially putting up counting stats himself. So you're okay with Giddey doing so but are not okay with Kuminga doing so. Hmm. Okay.
