My point is maybe you should’ve stopped after the 2nd sentence? Jumping the gun and laying the foundation for failure in your mind 2 years from now is going to make you crazy for no reason if you honestly believe we can win a title this year. What’s the point of doing that to yourself? You think we can win this year… great, why not just focus on that and be happy?

Jumping the gun is what the front office is doing not me.

The Knicks state doesn't dictate my happiness, otherwise I'd have jumped into a woodchipper 15 years ago.

I don’t get it, but do you

Dude is just here to complain about everything and anything to anyone who will listen. He hasn't been happy with this team since 1974. You won't get any logical answer from him about any of it. We sucked for decades and we will always suck. Every trade. Every draft pick. Every FA is garbage. All coaches and GMs too. He doesn't even watch the games. :o

White was on a championship level team. Bridges was with the Nets and then had the worst offensive HC in the league last year. Over their careers they are pretty much even talent. You must be high if you can't tell the difference between cherry picking two years out of 9 and actual career numbers.

White has been in a perfect situation. Mikal has not over the last two seasons. It's not that difficult to see reality. You're just cherry picking stats that serve your failed agenda driven post.

Facts and context matter. You haven't used either.

bruh? derrick white hit damn near every single 3 pointer he took against us series long while mikal was tossing up clankers on the break? if we had derrick white instead of mikal we might have won the championship lol

I would love Derrick White on the Knicks and I love that he and his teammates went on that 3 point brickfest that allowed the Knicks to steal games 1 and 2 with him going 5-16 and 3-11 from 3. Thank you Derrick White :D

MItch looks so much taller than Curry (won't comment on Curry other than that, as he's way older now and looks good for a retired person).

The Mikal we saw last year will not be the same one we see this year. He will get shots from an actual offense with plays. He will also get rest during games. I believe his shooting percentages will go up across the board.

New teammates, new system, no surprise he was inconsistent.

I only expect him to be slightly better, people forget he's a 3rd or forth option.

He's just not going to get the touches he got with the NETS, and he basically average the same stats as a 4th option on the SUNS as he's doing with the Knicks

3rd or 4th option but he will likely be our only starter who will play all 82 games. So he will be 1st option on some nights just because of that. I would be surprised if his numbers didn't slightly improve. His shooting percentages should definitely improve, especially if last second 3pt misses from half court at half time are taken off the stat sheet.

I will say that Derrick White is better than Mikal in my book. But that being said, picking out Derrick White as the comparison for this deal seems like cherrypicking. There are so many deals out there to be compared to, and the cap is rising.

I mean, we have our own example of that on our team. We have Jalen Brunson earning less than 35 million a year, McBride at 4 mill a year, etc.

I agree that Brunson's contract is one of the best in the league. I wasn't cherry picking, they play the same position. I'm pointing out that we are getting fleeced on a deal that we don't have to sign. We'll have so much more information at the end of this year, and if we want to keep Bridges because we made a final or won a title -- great. The cap difference really doesn't matter if we're successful and he's healthy after leading the league in minutes forever. Just play it out. The Knicks could have always offered more than any suitor after next year, and if Bridges sucks, gets hurt, or we lose again in the playoffs then who gives a ****? The core needs to be shipped out anyway.

That’s horrible asset management for a team that’s already over the cap to not re-sign one of their core players to a cheaper contract and wait. Especially when he would be one of the best players available in the market next offseason and he would certainly get a much bigger deal. And the team just reached a conference finals for the first time in 25 years thanks to his contributions in the playoffs. Why would they put themselves in a position where one of their core players has their looming contract talks on their mind all season?

i liked this guy before he was a knick. when we had the nova mojo going with donte here, i was a supporter of us acquiring him. but he really rubbed me the wrong way a number of times last year and didn't seem bought in 100%. he's allowed to have problems with the coaching style but the new culture of the new york knicks is supposed to be a about discipline and commitment to winning so that's the bar you're looking for a player to clear. he showed spurts of it in the playoffs, sometimes in key moments. all that to say i hope he wins me over again this year. lord knows i went up and down with julius so many times. i'm a forgiving person

It's a ridiculous assessment of the player, the contract and, the team. The core of an ECF team needs to be shipped out? WTF?

Enough with the gibberish. He's clearly trolling at this point. None of his complaints make a lick of sense.
