If the above video is country locked (and you don't have VPN at use), the highlights should appear in Twitter too soon.

When was the last time MVP didn't went to gold winner, Dirk 2005? But he was in the finals. Lauri wont be MVP.

How does he look? Made a small bet on Germany and Greece winning, if happens, my cashout will be almost x10

I looked it up. Dirk in 05 and Marčiulionis in 95 were the only ones in the last 30 years who won MVP despite not winning, and both were in the final.

A bet for the game tonight or for the Euro winner?

Luka looks really good.

They wouldn't give an MVP without winning a medal. At least a silver probably. And even then, that would be hugely controversial.

Dirk got an MVP without winning and it was very controversial, and Markannen is no Dirk, in terms of name recognition and status in Europe.

Wierd game. Lots of nerves for a friendly.
Everyone chirping. Refs with a little homecooking aren't helping.

I bet that Germany wins today (1.54) and that Greece wins tomorrow (6.42 or smth). Combined its almost x10. I mean Greece plays Serbia, and Serbia will probably win, but odds make them out like they team USA these days, I don't get it.

Luka in good shape, but still constantly talking to the refs.

This's far the worst Slovenia in Luka's era.

Germany looking good. BTW i've always thought Obst could be a solid role player in the NBA.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I think less gasping for air = more oxygen to talk to refs.

I have a funny feeling Jokic has a good chance at mvp. I know I am going on a limb with that prediction

Markkanen looked to be in monster form. Sure it's only Belgium but dude looked stronger than ever, bulldozing Belgian players out of his way like a prime Giannis.

Last time Finland almost knocked out Spain in the quarterfinals. Spain's tactical change at the end of the game, putting a lot of pressure on the point guard, turned the game around. Now Finland is more prepared and the point guards are more experienced in those situations. The top European countries are not at the level we are used to. Finland's starting lineup with its roles is very tough. If they avoid Germany, at least the semis are possible. So Markkanen has a good chance of being MVP.

When Dirk got the MVP in 2005, there were a lot of complaints about the voting and the voters. I think they even reviewed the voting criteria and methods after.

Dirk getting the MVP and Nikos Zisis not making the all tournament team, when most people expected him to get the MVP, was quite discussed.

I wouldn't think FIBA would want to go that way again, but it's been 20 years, so maybe they might.

You bet on Greece winning against Serbia without Giannis. You are braver than most. Good luck ;)
