LOL no **** chance middling eastern teams deserve to be there over the 60+ win Cavs. What the hell?

Green font?

The 6th seed bickerstaff Pistons are not more entertaining than the #1 rated offense in the NBA lol

Well that's my homer opinion. Ask neutral fans and I think they'd agree we were more fun to watch in the playoffs. Cade is the most entertaining player on both teams imo.

A case could be made for Pistons/Magic as early matchup followed by Knicks/Cavs and then 3 western matchups, I would have loved it, but based on history and narrative, it's a great slate of games.

Possibly last year of LeBron and perhaps final year of Steph's prime. It's still must see TV.

I still have no clue why Dallas is being featured on Xmas day. Kyrie will be out, they’re not going to be that good to start the season. Feels like a wasted opportunity to feature the Magic/Pistons/Hawks

Also knowing the NBA, they won’t even change a thing. It’s laughable how inflexible the NBA is with the regular season.

name a single ROTY that was must see TV in December

even Wemby was getting bust allegations until he went on a tear in the second half of the season

Paolo had a sick rookie year, wasn't amazing to watch, Luka had a great rookie year, the team sucked so no one really watched that much, KAT same deal.

You'd probably have to go back to LeBron

Yeah, cause CLE was hurt

Mitchell is by far more entertaining.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

It's Cooper Flagg on a competitive team, they missed the PO last because of injuries and being hardcapped and unable to sign any replacement, high profile rookies usually don't go to competitive team.

At least they didn't bump the Thunder for the Suns again this Christmas.

not sure what fans from other teams think but I like OKC against Houston a lot. Two fanbases that hate each other, KD in OKC for our ring ceremony and Houston is kind of following a similar path than OKC (I hope they don't succeed but they had a fantastic season last season and made a huge leap in a similar way we did in the 2023/2024 season). Facing Denver would have been nice too but I like the Rockets game a bit better for the reasons I mentioned.

I guess Spurs against OKC is basically Adam praying that both Chet and Victor will be healthy.

With only 2 East teams on Christmas shows what the NBA thinks of the East this coming season, especially with no Tatum or Hali to help prop it up.

Right, but the chance of Flagg being even league average efficiency is pretty low when looking historical rookie play. Any team that is missing a major star shouldn’t be on Xmas day unless the NBA heavily believes they’ll be essential, but Wemby was that and he didn’t get a rookie Xmas game.

It feels like a wasted opportunity to highlight a young star in Cade Cunningham that is right now top 15 and leading a historical powerhouse franchise on a team with plenty to like.

Even though Boston will in all likelyhood be trash this year, I'm still amazed they aren't on either schedule.

Look at Christmas Day. Even the NBA knows the East is ass.
