the mysteries are whether he can be better on that front this year than he was last year, and whether he can get to a point where his talent and johnson's scheming are enough to overcome any shortcomings that persist
1. This was something that should have been scouted. Nobody put a gun to Ryan Poles' head to draft Caleb
EVERYONE had access to the same game tape on this. and yet it was not known that caleb would have this issue
2. The OL absolutely did him zero favors which is why they replaced 3, maybe 4 of that grouping
that's probably NOT why 3 starters (jones is injured) were replaced. there was no other way to go because caleb did the OL no favors!
A certain QB in New York has a stacked OL in front of him right now and will look miles better than he ever did here because of it
1) likely better, but remains to be seen. plus the tackles are unproven
2) it's not some revelation that better OL results in more effective QB play. the obvious problem is that the more you devote to the OL means the LESS you devote to the rest of the team.
3) a good QB doesn't need a good OL to succeed
3. Neither Waldron nor Ben Johnson have developed a QB before - that's on Ryan Poles.
you're seriously criticizing the BJ hire?
Caleb's not playing today. It's a move that's many fans and media members are critical of considering where he's at in his development. Blind faith hasn't served the Chicago Bears fan well when talking about the QB position.
BJ doesn't care about what has served bears fans well in the past. nor should he
the lengths you're willing to go to get me to defend poles!
