Past 7 Champs, who would win a tourney?
Put all the last 7 champs, exactly in their state during the Finals when they won? Seven games, home court goes to the team with the highest RS winning percentage their year
I think the Celtics, Thunder, and Raps make the FInal 4-not sure which other team
Celtics/Raps in the Finals, with the Celtics winning it?
Tough to say, teams are very even.

How would this work though? There's an uneven amount of teams.

Round Robin home and homes and then the top 4 teams go to semi finals. Head to head, point differential used as tie breakers.
OKC is probably the favorite followed by the Celtics.

I wondered that too, but in who is best hypothetical, I voted the Celtics. I agree with OP that Celtics, OKC and Raptors would be strong contenders to make top 4 here. I think GSW is probably the weakest champion here.

Eh, I don't like the idea of that because for something line determining the champion of champions, everyone deserves a fair shot. I don't think OKC should be rewarded for something they did in the regular season.
To make things interesting, I would say the eighth team should be the last one to win a title that isn't a repeat of what's already here. So since we do have the Warriors, we should have the eighth one be the 2016 Cavaliers.

I guess the 7 teams get thrown into a pot, and one gets a 1st round bye? Or, we wait until next year to see if Clev, NY or someone else makes it an even 8

Re: Past 7 Champs, who would win a tourney?
okc almost got beat by a bereft denver with sub-par jokic carrying the whole team
a smart healthy team with gonads would beat them
I'd say four of those teams... and no one has faith in the raps
okc is an excellent YOUNG TEAM in a league of basically young inexperienced teams. this is why okc hasn't had the required 7yr arc most ring teams have had to go thru. this is why okc is one of two youngest teams ever to win a ring
mj had to wait until peak lakers and peak celts were DONE. this is what okc is going through cuz lal, lac, gsw, mil, den ,celts were crippled or done.

It is a tough call between Bucks, Celtics, and Thunder but I have to give Celtics the edge

Raptors, Nuggets and the Celtics would be my pick depending on matchup in the semifinals. Nuggets would beat Celtics, Raps would beat Nuggets and Celtics would beat Raps IMO.
Lakers would never survive 4 real series healthy. Warriors were weakest champs of last 10 years, if not 20. OKC almost lost to far worse Denver then their championship run. Bucks had one of the easiest runs, and almost blew it.

How can Warriors be the weakest championship? Warriors defeated the Celtics at Boston Garden to win the championship which is very hard to do

Celtics were not there yet. I am not saying Warriors are bad, but compared to champions, they have to be weakest ones here.

op stopped short of the 2018 gsw

it would have made 8teams for a playoff but maybe two gsw teams are unfair
whatever

Lakers or Celtics in my mind.
Caruso, KCP, Green, LeBron, Davis
Rondo, Kuzma, Markieff, Dwight
VS
Jrue, White, Brown, Tatum, Horford
Pritchard, Hauser, Prozingis, Kornet

Yes they were. Suddenly people want to act like they weren't getting called historically great?

I’d prob go with the Celtics or Nuggets. Celtics had the best team and Nuggets had the best player (plus a good supporting cast).

It depends - is the tourney gonna be fair or rigged? because if it's rigged we all know who wins...
If you have more "Posts" than "And1", don't feel bad if I didn't reply to you - I just don't like to speak with people who argue a lot

It’s no coincidence that once Boston ditched Smart they win a championship. They weren’t there. Replacing Smart/Brogdon with Jrue and KP is what made them champions. No team can win a championship with the brutal shot selection that Smart had in that role.
