That was Hoffman's 5th blown save. Other elite closers have blown the same amount. The ERA isn't pretty and he's given up a lot more HR's than usual but he's been mostly fine in the closer role.

His May was horrific, been good otherwise

Is it just me, or with splitter dominant pitchers like Hoffman and Gausman, when they’re good they’re really good, but when they’re bad, they’re really bad? Seems like it’s more pronounced than with guys who rely on a different type of pitch.

I'm not anti-Hoffman like many here. I have posted his stats without May and they are great. So we agree on that.
