Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
Nba scouts rank Herro higher than De'Aaron Fox & Mikhal Bridges. Fox just got a 4 year extension by the Spurs for $229 million. So Herro is worth what he's looking for in the extension. Pay him less now or pay him more to extend him next summer?

I wonder, does anyone know how our pace was last year compared to the Jimmy era? I think we should have a roster better suited to fast pace, but idk
96.2 (28th of 30) ... the two previous years were 96.2 (29th of 30) & 96.3 (29th of 30)

We are amazingly consistent.
Hmm, I guess that probably ain't changing then. I do suspect even though the ceiling is lower, Powell, Herro, and Bam will work on offense better than Jimmy, Bam, and Herro. The shooting is just so much more consistent from the most important guys due to Powell and Bam starting to expand his range. I can just imagine how Bam and Ware can work in the paint when teams HAVE to deal with both Powell and Herro on the perimeter. Wiggins too.

That was 1 “anonymous” scouts opinion, whoever it was lol.

Watch the playoff series of Fox vs GS 2 years ago.
On what planet are they even in the same sentence? Because Fox had a down year where he was traded and injured last year, in which he missed 20 games? He has averaged 70+ games a season before last. Still averaged 24/5/6 while trying to learn a new system and having new teams and coaching midseason.
I dont even have to tell you how many games Herro has missed since he was drafted, and how many playoff games he missed, yall already know.
The spurs paid him because they know he is a big time player. His fourth quarter/clutch numbers are top 3 alongside of Jalen Brunson.
His midrange game is as elite as SGA.
Herro and Fox in the same breath is not only insulting to Fox, it’s downright stupid.
Now Fox, Castle and Wemby will have their first full offseason and full season, and they got Harper too. That team is going to be very good, very fast

Fox is probably a push but for what they bring to the table Herro is certainly more valuable to this team than Bridges. I do think Herro will be extended, whether thats late this summer or next, don't really have a preference on when.

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
finally watched the Powell Jamaica highlights. While the pull up 3s would translate, most of his points came at the rim against an undersized team with no rim protection. It was more week competition than superior play. I'm not sold Powell will have better games than Burks did at times last year. Starting him with Herro would be a colossal error and render one of the useless...on both ends.
Im Jamaican so it hurts that Thompson Twins and Nick Richards didnt join the team as well as the Champaine twins, Jamaican team would have been on another level.

1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno

I don't see where you're getting this from. Powell is easily better then Burks last season. This isn't Rozier putting up numbers on a bottom feeder team, Powell was a key contributor to good Clippers teams for the last 4 or 5 years. Also, he played super well off ball with guys like Harden, Kawhi, and PG dominating the ball. And then he also stepped up whenever those guy went down from injury (which was ALOT). I understand there possibly being issues defense wise with Powell and Herro, but offense, they should work together.

Look at this game from Powell last season. Attacking the paint, tough shot making, some decent playmaking against one of the top defenses in the league. And thats with Zubac clogging the paint.

that penetration and playmaking might do wonders for Ware. i hope they develop some good 2 man chemistry

This dude would be Whiteside + no inhibition of social media use. Should have been a top 5 pick, then team’s all had reservations. CLT took a flier on him, but that’s just the point they were at as a franchise. Desperate for talent, even talent that did not contribute to winning. Not the right fit for the Heat franchise and yes not the right city for a man needing focus.
OP for NBA FT record

Spo will make sure Pelle doesn't succeed, especially on offense. 24 points is way too much! Miami might make it over 90 as a team and we can't possibly have that.

Which scouts? Fox is a better player than Herro. He's not overwhelmingly better, but he's better. Better ballhandler, better at taking guys off the dribble, better at getting to the FT line, and a much better defender. Herro is the better shooter by a large margin. Herro closed the gap last year, but we'll see if he plays at that level or improves on it this coming season.
