Re: Javonte Green
Veteran 2/3 depth lends more credence to Holland/Thompson getting back-up PF minutes, potentially with the plan being the Harris replacement and long term answer there. Holland listed at 6'8" and up to 212lbs. Will need about another 15lbs+ as he fills out and his body matures.

Re: Javonte Green
There are late-offseason/pre-camp acquisitions like this every year. It's nothing. Think Wendell Moore last year.
* That being said, it's not like this roster is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to talent. We should always be looking to unearth talent.

Re: Javonte Green
Plays good defense and he’s a deep bench option with experience. Unless we gave him some unnecessary contract I don’t see a problem with this

Re: Javonte Green

He's fine as an end of the bench guy.
Yeah given our depth chart you'd think we'd be throwing a deal like this to a 4.
But whatever. We'll see.

I think this is the filler until he finds the right four

Re: Javonte Green
6'4" elite athlete, good defender, a knack for making good cuts, but other than that not a big offensive threat. Has never averaged an assist per game, but has had respectable 3 pt shooting seasons. He does appear to do better in a running scheme, and could be an acceptable emergency/mop up vet. Maybe a bit of a Hamidou vibe, and hopes that Vinson can work some magic?

Re: Javonte Green
Wasn't expecting to pick up an old guard, but it's the end of the bench so it doesn't really matter

For some reason I was thinking he was in his mid 20s with upside still ... crazy that he's 32 didn't realize that at all. Was thinking he was just a tad older than guys like Cade, Ivey and Stewart.

Re: Javonte Green
Kinda strange that Langdon haven’t gotten a backup 4 for Tobias I guess Holland will man the position until trade deadline.

Re: Javonte Green
The Bulls were running him at the 4 for a bit, crazy I know, but he can play multiple positions. He'll be fine taking some spot minutes at the 4.

Our weakness is a PF and TL does nothing. I'm not a bit surprised.

Real power shifting information. Greens contract is only partially guaranteed ($925,000)
