I would be comfortable with this! He is more opinionated than Michael Grady, but he is seasoned and educated about the team.

I identified as a 66 year old passionate Wolves fan first and foremost. 2nd as a proud heterosexual male who really likes women. I decided to share that here to elicit support and or discussion. I got some support in the form of +1s. I got discussion in the form of BlackJackMac. I got attacked and misrepresented in the form of Mattya. He doesn't seem to like discussion. Just blind adherence to his way of thinking. As stated I will participate in no more discussion of Gender Identity unless it's done in PM and only if it's done in the form of discussion and not name calling. You're welcome to discuss in PM if you want to. If not can it with the personal attacks.

Just remember the first person to name call and generalize here was you. You got called out for it. Started editing your old posts to make them not as garbage tier, and now you want to post this? You really do need help...

What's going on here? I unfortunately tend to disagree with KG a lot on here but from what I'm seeing (I may be wrong) are white knights who are insulted for someone's behalf. KG didn't use direct insults towards those here from what I read. The method of speaking for the mentally ill by tossing insults in a emotionally immature way doesn't help them. For those who realizes that they are in fact ill and seek help who are you to decide that what they see as a problem is deemed an insult when its their truth? Lets get back to basketball.

Thanks Folklore I think. . Mattya, has embarked on a vendetta against me sharing some thoughts and taken it to the lowest of levels. It's fine if he disagrees with me, but name calling and misrepresentation should be beneath the dignity of all members of this board.

He literally accused 1% of the world's population* of being mentally ill for not sharing his beliefs, and he's the victim here...

*A 2022 Pew Research Center survey found that about 1.6% of U.S. adults identify as transgender or non-binary, with a significant increase (5%) in this identification among younger adults under 30.

*The Williams Institute estimated that 1.2 million non-binary adults were living in the U.S. in 2021.

*A 2021 Ipsos survey of 27 countries found that 1% of adults identified as transgender, non-binary, gender-fluid, or in another way, rather than male or female.

Then cries when he gets name called the same thing he said of the people he generalized and doesn’t want them to be included as Wolves fans, but then also complains about the “dignity of members on this board.”

I haven't followed everything and this is the off season and not much is happening. But let's get back to basketball anyway. The world is already complicated enough, let's have some fun and respect on RealGM.

Can’t respect a Wolves fan who wouldn’t lets others be Wolves fans. You gotta show respect to get respect.

Keep in mind that those numbers are probably lower to a degree due to factors like fear of discrimination.

Also, having non inclusive views should receive contempt.

So I'm supposed to be inclusive of your views, but you don't have to inclusive of mine. Isn't that a bit non-inclusive??

You're conflating two things. Being inclusive of all people and being inclusive of everyone's views.

Generally being a gaping **** to someone because of something core to their identity is a no no.

However, being a dick to someone for their terrible stances (which are choices) (and which can lead to negative outcomes) is fine.

Nope. I don’t have to tolerate intolerance.

To be tolerant a person has to disagree with something about whatever it is they are tolerant of. Without disagreement there is no possibility of tolerance. There are some instances where tolerance is not good. I admit to being intolerant of persons with penises participating in women's sports. Tolerating those people leads to actual women being robbed of their opportunity to make a living in professional sports. I have a daughter that has a good chance of being a professional athlete, but she will have no chance of that if she has to compete with person's with penises. I have no tolerance of pedophiles working with children such as being a teacher or in childcare. When the cons of tolerance outweigh the benefits intolerance is the best policy. There are many more examples of tolerance being a bad quality. However, I'm totally open to being friends with and showing love and compassion to all people. Transgender, they/them fine.

Now THIS is a straw man.

Fact Sheet: Transgender Participation in Sports

Similar to misleading narratives about bathrooms and other single-sex spaces, propagating inflammatory scenarios about transgender women and girls participating in sports has become a common tactic in broader attacks on trans rights and equality.

Transgender people make up a tiny fraction of all athletes. NCAA President Charlie Baker testified in December 2024 that he knows of fewer than ten transgender college student-athletes among 510,000 athletes total.

So I seem to be late to this particular party. I have a question for KG and a question for Mat.

KG is homosexuality a mental illness?

Mat is Gender Dysphoria classified as a mental illness?

I know both of you could feel attacked by my questions, but I am trying to be careful to not give an opinion either way. The discussion you are having seems to be drifting away from what is truly interesting and relevant in our time.
