Probably 0.

He's a PF/SF..I guess maybe he could play some small ball 5 but I don't see that happening much - if at all.

0 minutes for Josh Mynot be accurate.

If the Cs are in the hunt, I'm sure a Center not on the roster right now will be playing Center for the Cs.

Tillman, Amari Williams, THEN Minott I'd think. Believe me, if you are thirsting for a 3rd center for that 15th spot, I understand. None of the 4th options are comforting.

Queta, Garza, Tillman, Amari, Boucher

Amari’s not ready. Tillman who knows if he’ll ever be ready

No my usual quest for center 6B is on hiatus. I’m just saying they don’t have the bodies at the C position so we are missing something in our view of who is doing what.

They aren’t in the hunt unless you are talking about the hunt to develop guys and cut salary

At least they are centers.

Minott is not a center.

We're not contenders this season. So the bar you need to clear isn't very high to "be ready" for some spot mins on a team that isn't even gonna be that good and is in desperate need of someone who can play some mins here and there at the 5.

The way to got Amari ready might be to throw him out there, develop him, let him learn by doing and learn from his mistakes. His passing ability could really pop when surrounded by some legit offensive talent such as JB, Pritchard, White, Hauser, etc.

As for Tillman, he could be back to his old self this season..last year could be an outlier since he was coming off knee injury and the passing of his father:

https://hardwoodhoudini.com/celtics-forgotten-option-could-play-pivotal-role-next-season-xavier-tillman

Prior to last season, he was a solid rotational big in each of his other 4 NBA seasons.

And if Tillman and Amari aren't great, we get a higher draft pick. Win-win.

Better than playing a guy like Minott out of position. Minott is a forward..his best chance to succeed is playing him at his natural position..

Like I said, we'll know more after 50 games.

I know this is somewhat tongue in cheek but I also think 28 is a lot for Queta. Plus I think his games total will be a bit limited, and if we look at the center rotation in games Q doesn't play... lol.

Though it does occur to me even if Garza stinks to the heavens and rots on defense, he prob will throw out a couple games where he hits 5 threes and scores 25 and generally look like a poor man's Arvydas Sabonis which will be hilarious.

Maybe Amari Williams gets some run…
It’s light for sure (the center position) especially if Queta doesn’t meet my expectations.

With this team's current situation, I would be shocked if Garza only got 6 min

Right, that's the point - teams don't just jack up guys minutes totals in a huge way anymore from season to season. Ie no one is going to play 2200 minutes out of the front court, let alone 2500, not even Boucher.

The 4-5 spots are going to be covered by 4-6 guys playing 1000-2000 minutes apiece.

Every situation is different.

Queta's mins likely skyrocket this season since our big man room went from KP/Al/Kornet/Queta to Queta/Garza/Tillman/Amari

And Garza's mins likely skyrocket this season since he went from a team who's big man room was Gobert/Naz Reid/Randle/Garza to a team who's big man room is Queta/Garza/Tillman/Amari.

It only make sense that both of them would see a significant bump in mins.

They don’t do it as it’s a known injury risk - ie besides Queta’s clearly huffing and puffing after modest stints and his foul rate they just aren’t going to play him more than call it 1800 minutes.

Rapid escalation of minutes played has been one of the clearer injury risks

Yea, I've seen some people talk about Josh Minott getting center minutes in this thread and on social media. Where is that coming from? Minott played 0 mins at center last year. He is a 6-8, 205lb swingman who is almost identical in size to Jordan Walsh. He isn't going to play any center mins unless there is some injury emergency

bucknersrevenge wrote:Minott played most of his time at the 3 and only weighs 205 lbs same as Schierman. But Minott is only 22 and I think, still growing into his body. I'd like to see him ideally get up to 220 eventually. I know you don't just put on that kind of weight immediately but I think that would be his best playing weight as a swing forward guarding 2-4. He's got the length, size, and agility. Just needs to get stronger I think.

Josh Mynot be a PF now, but I think he'll eventually become one.

The kid has great potential.

I'm a believer.

Become "one" what? A center?
What are you even basing this on?

Josh Minott's meaurement predraft in 2022: 6-7.25" barefoot, 6-11.75" wingpsn, 197 pounds ... predraft Payton Pritchard weighed 195 lbs (2 less than Minott) ... I mean, I don't even understand where this concept is even coming from. 6-8 guys with 6-11 wingspans don't play center in the NBA
