The best two NFC teams should be the Eagles and Lions.

The Lions have a ton of talent no doubt, but like Joel Embiid, they have to prove that they can stay healthy in the playoffs, particularly on defense. Additionally, for all the criticism that Sirianni rightfully gets for his bone-headed decisions at times, Campbell is even worse in that regard. I'll believe they are legit when I see it.

Did you see this NFL/ESPN deal?

Can Disney own the corporate NFL?

I'm happier every day that I quit watching the NFL about five years ago.

I think it’s the opposite, right? NFL gets a 10% equity share of ESPN in exchange for the rights to RedZone and NFL Network. So now the NFL owns a small part of a Disney subsidiary.

That's the real Philly Special, price gouging other teams for our backup QB.

Praise be to A.J. Feeley, first of his name, bringer of picks.

Read on Twitter

Who had a worse supporting cast:

McNabb on offense during this time period

Iverson during his prime years with the Sixers

McNabb had a great O-Line, and Staley/Westbrook were great receiving backs, but he was passing to Chad Lewis (probably most reliable guy), Todd Pinkston, James Thrash, Fredex I guess. It took them 7 years of McNabb to say, "hey, maybe we should give him someone to pass to other than Westbrook".

Iverson, they surrounded him with defense and then surrounded him with the oldest, decaying big men stars.

Both fried their primes because of poor team management. Obviously the Eagles had the other side of the ball and were quite good defensively.

That was primarily the fault of Andy Reid who for whatever reason still doesn't really value the WR position even today in KC and Larry Brown who hated the 3 point shot and forced the Sixers to surround their only real scorer with a bunch of defensive role players.

Could you imagine if a player like Steph Curry played for Larry Brown? He would have taken him out of the game in like the first 30 seconds and he'd never have seen the light of day again.

Not necessarily backup QBs, but I believe Howie gots firsts for Bradford and Wentz. We were done with both, so they were backups in my mind. Jalen finished the year as the starter and the team was pivoting to him. And Wentz beat Bradford for the starting job, so he was our backup. However, both obviously had starting pedigrees when we traded them.
