Overly dramatic 5 reasons style emotion coming from Barry. Give me a phucking break here. Highsmith was in line to miss months of action after the knee surgery and is beyond replaceable.

I’m very interested to see our perimeter defense this season, they’re probably banking on Bam to bail them out solo solo per usual, especially if Ware loses his starting job

How does the pick we received work? If it doesn’t convey next summer we just don’t get it or what?

Exactly what I was thinking. Barry should just retire at this point lol

Correct, its not meant to ever convey. The Nets just had to send something.

Jovic and Jaime (probably Larson to a lesser degree) are the big winners. 25 mins a night going to a guy that gets 6 ppg just opened up, make the most of the opportunity.

Larrson is about to play a big role as a perimeter defender and he's earned it. Expect us to sign a big man any day now. Kai Jones or Achuiwa is what I'm guessing. Possibly also Alec Burks as an extra backup shooter.

This is the great news in all of this. I understand Highsmith was a fan favorite but this is the bigger picture and it's brighter and has a much higher ceiling then continuing to go with the limited Highsmith for the feels.

After watching how Larrson looked this summer I have all the confidence in the world. He just brings such a much more diverse dynamic to the court over a Highsmith. Also happy for Fontechccio as I was mentioning earlier before this us needing to free open some minutes for him.

Over here in PDX we have a new owner who’s flush with cash. Meanwhile, y’all are just flushed and forgotten.

Xoxo.

It is a little disappointing to see a player leave who every contender would welcome with open arms. He was a good shooter and arguably our best perimeter defender, you don’t have to average 15 PPG to impact the game. The worst part is giving away another asset to dump a player we agreed to sign when we could’ve just let them walk initially and not getting anything of any sort of value back (I get we got out of the tax but we had several more months to do that).

We’ll see what follows this up in the coming days/weeks before grading it.

I’d assume he likely gets bought out and joins Sioux Falls next.

If Jagsmith had been a couple of inches taller we’d have offered him the max already
