You are acting like Bam is 32 years old. Developing players then trading them right when they hit their prime is lunacy.

According to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, the free agent center is actually spending four days working out at Kaseya Center this week as the club considers whether to sign him. No decisions have been made yet, but a source tells Jackson that the Heat have “long shown an appreciation” for the former first-rounder’s skill set.

24 year old 6'11 former 1st rd pick who's matured and ready for a second chance. He's a perfect cheap upside play for our backup Center spot.

Reincarnation of Whiteside potentially? Kai Jones-side?

He might already be on the roster in the form of Wareside :(

Ware locked in and performed after Spo fried his ass publicly. He took honest criticism to heart and did as was demanded of him from what I remember in the SL after that. It took Whiteside going overseas. Hell, if HW got his mind & body right when he 1st tried out for us in 2012 (but failed to impress), I couldn't even begin to imagine Mr. triple double with blocks patrolling the paint next to the big 3. Oh what could've been...

that trade caught me by surprise. i thought highsmith was untouchable because the coaches liked him. boy i was so wrong. okay we are going to suck anyway and btw. we will be lucky if we see the heat reach 37 wins next season its going to be bad, guys. seriously bad... maybe we are on stealth rebuilding mode already

Hahaha that got you that upset Timmy?!?! Which season did he not play up to his contract?

Hes not top 10 but thats the expectations we have of him at minimum and even then half of yall wouldn’t be happy!

I’ll make a truce and stop the dry sarcasm if you can do the same and just root for our team. Otherwise the sarcasm must continue.

Whom ever the Heat add needs to complement the 9 man rotation of Powell, Herro, Wiggins, Bam, Ware, Jovic, Jaquez, Larsson and Mitchell.

That group could use a backup big and a legitimate floor general although they’re almost nonexistent these days

So… any chance we can hope for a Whiteside trajectory out of Kai? If so, backup C is covered. All that is left is to find that floor general.

So do I! Luckily we have Bam who will probably be the MVP front runner next season so 60+ wins and a #1 seed should be doable, unless Tyler Herro ruins the squad again.

Bam is doing all that and Tyler is taking that Steph curry leap you keep talking about, we’re coming out of nowhere to win it all!!

Eh, if they sign him, there's no way he's making a Whiteside leap. He doesnt have the overwhelming physical tools Whiteside had. Hes an elite athlete, like best on the team good, but hes a bit of an tweener size wise. 6-11 with like a 7 foot wingspan

I want someone that is going to push Ware, I don’t want him to get comfortable and think he just has the spot locked up at all times. If Kai is that guy, so be it

At the end of the day the only one on the roster with the personality and respect to push Ware that isnt a coach or Haslem during practice, is Bam.

If Bam and Spo cant get their message across with him, to toughen up and play up to his potential, no one else in the league will.

He will just be another lost cause, similar to Wiseman in Golden State. Curry, Draymond, Kerr, thats a lot of leadership to hold Wiseman accountable, and he folded like a bitch. They gave up on him quite fast and look what he’s done elsewhere.. nothing

We shall see what comes of Ware. There was a lot of good that we saw last year.. and we desperately need someone in the paint that can take the pressure off of Bam.. Bam was absolutely swarmed by 2-3 bodies in the paint against the Cavs.

Honestly the ideal player id like next to bam is someone that likes to play with contact and can absorb contact.

Ware has some mental lapses defensively and offensively.. and he is easily movable in the paint.. it doesnt take much to gain position on him. Any big man with strength, Randle, Bam, KAT, Wemby, Mobley, Turner, hell even Chet, can move Ware, push him around and get their ****.

Spo and the training staff has been trying to work on his strength… but im not sure Ware is ever going to be that kind of player..

Id kill to have someone like Myles Turner to play next to Bam..

Tbh, i think thats a good mold for the player Ware can be. Myles Turner. Once he fills out he can stop being pushed around
