We all know you love Thibs and hate all the players, especially KAT because Randle was traded for him, but damn lol.

Just admit Thibs put them in position to fail. You’ll feel better. They should’ve been switching. Say the words melo, release that hate

I guess the Knicks are haters too!

We all read that months ago… that’s your coach setting him (amongst others) up to fail putting him in drop… same as Mikal at POA.

So again, care to finally answer the question? Why didn’t Thibs know his players strengths and weaknesses by the ECF enough to know how best to prevent Nesmith from hitting 100 wide open 3’s?

KAT wasn’t covering him every time bro, it was once and he was held/screened by Siakam on that play. Why didn’t Thibs switch like he did vs Boston? Just answer the question without changing the subject or deflecting

You're blaming Thibs for everything but that literally makes no sense

If KAT's defense is not a problem at the 5, why did the Knicks force thibs to start Mitch? Why did Minny trade for Gobert?

I did however eat an ungodly amount of wild blueberries. We grabbed a peak then decided to follow the ridge up to another peak which was fun but we didnt take enough water. so we gorged on blueberries until we found a snow patch to melt for water.

The not enough water days are tough. Was this the Buck Mtn day?

Those are 100% chicken of the woods but some people have sensitivities to them anyway. I was just nerding out on a conversation about that very subject on one of my Facebook mushrooming forums.

Buck might turn into Glacier. We still haven't figured that out yet. Happening thefirst of next month.

This was stillagaumish peak and then we bagged mount forgotten. Mountain loop highway is such a gorgeous area. These two peaks are just north of the ice caves. Also close to the gothic basin - foggy lake which is right next to gothic peak, and del campo.

I'm looking at some pics and that looks stunning. A lot of views of the surrounding big boys? There's so much to explore in Washington. Glacier would be amazing.

And hunting mushrooms is wild. Living a dangerous life. One mistake and at best youre puking or shtting streams at worst death. Youre a wild man Cap.

Just had a big steak with the last of my chanterelle stocks from last season. Just in time for this season :D

I've been at it for over 25 years without incident. There was a guy who picked for restaurants where I grew up and he showed me the ropes because I had a car and he was a dirty hippie without a car. Worked out well for me. Most of my standbys are basically like ID'ing blueberries at this point but there are a few when I branch out that I definitely run by experts.

The west coast is actually a lot safer than the east coast in a lot of ways. There is just less fungal diversity (but probably more mass) so easy to learn the good ones and the ones you REALLY want to avoid.

Having that mentor has to have made you a lot more confident. Ive read some literature and went with some dirty hippies(sans credentials) so they didnt instill much confidence.

Funny now that I think about it most of my mushroom picking was for blue-ringers when I was in HS. Which was actually the most risky. We were dumb kids picking pounds of wet nasty shrooms.

So do have an assortment of different kinds you hunt or a few specific ones?

Yeah, the psychedelic ones are actually pretty tricky. I don't really know them and they're pretty small and gilled, both factors riding up the degree of difficulty in IDing. I understand they stain pretty unmistakably but it's a rough gateway.

There are roughly 50 edible species I can identify and I'm 100% confident on about 40 of those. The majority of what I pick is 15 species or so that are super easy with a little training... and matsutake which is a little harder. And they're not all out at once or in the same places.

COW, for example, is really easy because it's bright orange with a yellow outer band, a shelf mushroom (goes directly off of trees, logs, and roots), a polypore (no gills like jack o lanterns), and softer than most shelf mushrooms when you want to eat it. Its peak season out here is August/September. Once you have those characteristics in mind there's not anything you're mistaking it for.

The mentor was fantastic. He really knew his stuff. I remember picking one up because it was pretty and stark white and he hollered at me to put it down immediately. I know what it was now. One you don't come back from.

We’re talking about two completely different things lol. I’ve already spoken at length about that. Imo, we’re better off with KAT starting at the 5 and going switch-heavy on D, and still playing him at the 4 for a good amount of the game next to Mitch while throwing in some zone.

I’ve been referring to this direct quote the past few posts…

You blamed the players, but after the first 2-3 threes, why didn’t Thibs try something else? Why did he allow 6 wide open threes without changing anything? If he told them to switch on screens on and off ball, Nesmith doesn’t get those crystal clear shots off.

Can you now comment on that? lol

Thanks for posting the video because it’s proof Thibs is a cancer. Jalen is simply breaking up their bickering… which the root cause is a senile stubborn coach who takes 100 games to make adjustments and then reverts back to his old ways even when it works lol.

Make no mistake, Nesmith hitting 6 wide open 3’s is the reason Thibs don’t have a job no more. That wasn’t the players fault…

KAT still here, Mikal got extended, no KD, no Ayton, Thibs fired, Mike Brown hired… that’s my coach!

Blaming all 6 made threes from Nesmith on KAT and using an article about his miscues on defense in general to apply them to the end of the Game 1 breakdown is diabolical.

If a player whoops your whole team’s ass that bad that’s on the coach, not the 1 player you hate who wasn’t even in the play 6 times  it’s Thibs fault for not trying something else to stop the bleeding

If a player whoops your whole team’s ass that bad that’s on the coach, not the 1 player you hate who wasn’t even in the play 6 times  it’s Thibs fault for not trying something else to stop the bleeding

I'm not blaming KAT for all of those 3's, you forgot that I told you that the other players gave little effort on getting over screens. They stopped trying at the end of the game. They literally said that themselves lol
"Defensively, we let off the gas. The intensity and physicality weren't there," wing Josh Hart said. "Offensively, we were playing slower, and more stagnant. It looked like we were playing not to lose."

Said center Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 35 points and 12 rebounds: "There's a lot of things we did good and we put ourselves in position to win. We played 46 good minutes. Those 2 minutes [are] where we lost the game, and that's on all of us."

Mikal indirectly taking a shot at KAT as well with the miscommunication part
Mikal Bridges feels that the Knicks "relaxing a little bit" led to their defensive issues at the end of Game 1: "Relax for a second, and then you're a step late." He adds that there was "a lot of miscommunication" between players during actions

Blaming Thibs soley for losing the last 2 mins of the game is diabolical. You acting like Thibs is controlling the players with a ps5 controller

Knicks didn’t lose game 1 because of scheme. They were whooping their ass all game and had a double digit lead with just a few minutes left. Same scheme that got them to that point.

They lost because the players let the foot off the gas and got complacent. They couldn’t make free throws down the stretch and committed a bunch of bad turnovers. Even then it took Hliburton hitting a crazy shot over Robinson to send it to OT and it was very close to a game winner. Yes the biggest shot of the game happened on a switch and the only reason Robinson switched was because Haliburton had Mikal on skates and had him completely lost.

By the way Indiana was cooking OKC too and probably would have won it all if Haliburton didn’t get hurt. Despite OKC having superior defenders than the Knicks, Indiana was just an offensive juggernaut and no scheme was stopping them especially anything involving Karl Anthony Towns lol

Game 6 and ultimately the series was lost because Jalen Brunson got the clamps put on him

Some of it may have been the scheme. Some of it may have been the personnel and their poor execution but that lineup Thibs threw back in there was not the one that got them the lead. It was a lineup that continuously put them in a hole that he stubbornly went back to again and again.

Even after they struggled together from January into the postseason and even in game 1 before the collapse he still threw them out there to close the 4th. And even after the collapse where the Knicks fortunately got another chance to win in OT he still played the same 5 man lineup that lost them most of the lead and had shown no ability to win their minutes on the court together. That is the definition of insanity.

The video shows what i posted from before, our players were very frustrated with KAT's defense. OG and Brunson were pissed at him
Just in case you forgot :D

Why is KAT executing incorrect coverages and not communicating with the team why he did it? And more importantly, how is that Thibs fault??

I’m not blaming Thibs solely, that’s the difference between you n me… I don’t have a agenda lol… the players get the blame on poor offensive execution, missed FT’s, and turnovers… Thibs issue was the defense.

Thing is defense was the reason we lost… we could’ve not scored and still held onto that huge lead if Thibs had simply called for them to switch on defense instead of putting guys in drop and forcing guys to fight thru screens when it obviously wasn’t working against Nesmith’s historic run. I don’t know how much better I can spell this out.

Players trying but failing to execute pales in comparison to being too incompetent to realize you’re not putting your players in proper position to succeed and being too stubborn to adjust.

Thibs basically did control players like a ps5 controller at times… it’s called coaching  Thibs sees our guys are getting killed chasing Nesmith thru screens, he should know to make the call to switch instead. But he didn’t.

I mean look at this, it’s pitiful:

This isn’t rocket science, and I’ve repeated it 1000 times already.

HEZI trying to come to Thibs rescue with his 2 cents is about as valuable as Monopoly money at a strip club

Btw, Mikal isn’t taking shots at KAT, that’s an assumption you’re making with agenda laced lenses, and the players take ownership all the time, they very rarely if ever blame the coach in public, so there’s no value in anything you posted there.

I’ll leave you with this one question, which I know you won’t answer… if after Nesmith made the first two of his 6 threes, Thibs called for our guys to switch and chase him off the 3pt line, you realize they would’ve ran out of time on the game clock and not have been able to bring it to OT with that dagger by Hali, right?

And did I mention Thibs got fired and that KAT is still here?

I win.. again…
