Unless you believe in luck it is the right thing to do. We need a real lead-off hitter and Springer has tons of experience - including in the playoffs. He also has a career high 383 obp which is 2nd highest amongst regulars.

Lauer struggling with his command for the 2nd start in a row (which is not what you want for a command/control pitcher)

It may end up being a 5 man rotation in the end after all

Did you guys watch the replay? Vladdy was casually jogging around 2nd base there. Embarrassing effort to not be running at full speed when there are 2 outs. Looks like he assumed it was going to get caught. This kind of garbage is inexcusable and what will cost us games in the playoffs. You never ever assume a ball is getting caught. You run your ass 100% the whole time. This looked as bad as him getting picked off at 2nd two years ago because hes too lazy.

Doesn’t surprise me, considering how that was booted it should have been an easy run

Hope it doesn’t come back to bite us in this game but it might as Lauer looks awful

Did we send a player for Straw yet? I don’t remember who that player to be named was

So we traded for Straw to try and get Sasaki.

Who would have thought Straw would end up with the better season this year?

It was a PTBNL or cash.

They probably sent a dollar in return. The trade in actuality was the Jays taking on Straw’s contract in exchange for the bonus pool money.
