I think most Hawks fans are aware of PK's durability issues and have been talking ad nauseum about adding another big.
Okay, hear me out...

I think he wants somewhere where he will see "reasonable" playing time - from his point of view. But that's complicated in many places, including on the Hawks

Re: Hawks 2025 Offseason Thread
About the two main questions here:
- I do not know whether Porzingis would be happy coming off the banch while OO starts. OO can be a player who wears down opposing centres and then Porzingis could play against bench players during the first half and then play more during the second one whan the situation is appropriate. But with his injury tendency, I believe it is much better to play him just after the warm up so he does not get cold in the bench.
- regarding Simmons, he could play a role with us, as he can play surrounded by 4 other players who shoot well. But the chemistry and problematic side of him could be the reason not to. This group is noze and he could be a problem within.

Porzingis will start.
His vision to create for others is a skillset that OO doesn't have. OO doesn't have the range KP has.
Keep in mind, we finished third in points in the paint, OO deserves some praise for that, so I expect us to be top 3 again.
Ben Simmons is a lost cause. A mentally ill child that puts gaming before basketball. We don't need him in our locker room. There is a reason he is available.

Self creation can indeed be a big issue, but JJ and Rissacher, Daniels and, hopefully, Bufkin, should have grown into better players on this part of the game.
OO and JJ are good off rebounders, as Daniels at his position. Gueye, also. Newell can help there, too.
We should play JJ and SF when Rissacher is on the bench. NDiaye could play some SF minutes too.

Zaccharie Risacher (122) and Trae Young (218) are the only two Hawks to make 100 3-pointers or more.

There's a chance that lawyers and accountants make better GMs than former players do...

Re: Hawks 2025 Offseason Thread
Dante could be a good addition, and we indeed needed some muscle and size in another big as OO is just 6-9/6-10 and Porzingis probably will miss games. Then we have like a myriad of PFs in Gueye, Johnson, N'Diaye, Newell... all of them can shoot the three ball and I hope they can make up for those threes we are theoretically missing in volume and threes made.
I expext Daniels to shoot more and better. NAW should be scoring 2/3 threes every game, and Kennard should be around 1.5. Johnson has to increase his volume, as Rissacher. Then Gueye, who took lots of threes last season, should increase his poor percentage.
Porzingis has games with the Celtics when he shot 7/8/9 threes in limited minutes. I also hope OO to keep the good work and hopefully he can be around that 40%, although with a smaller role he could be shooting worse.

Top 8: Trae, DD, ZR, JJ, OO, KP, NAW, Luke.
I'm hopeful that the next 3 of MoG, Vit and Kobe can give us impactful minutes. I think on any given night we see any 1 maybe 2 of this group.
The remaining 4: Asa, Niko, N'Faly, Houstan, I hope to only see in blowouts and/or in CP.
