j4remi wrote:I can attest that the Jets content creators and beatwriters have shown a lot of love for Abdul Carter too. He apparently cooked AVT on a play, and that's one of our most reliable OL pieces for years now.

One of the content creators said he expects the Giants to have the best D-Line in the NFL this season.

I'm waiting for some recaps of today. All I've seen is a highlight of our rookie WR Arian Smith making a crazy grab.

We've got hand to hand combat!!!!

This is what i was waiting for

Edit: of course Mbow is in the middle of it. Nasty!!!

And yes preseason and joint practices are one thing...games are another so yes don't want to jump the gun. Its seems though from all accounts he just looks different out there.

I love to hear it, but I'm not buying it just yet. Mainly because Micah is just bigger.

I'd have to see Abdul against some real O Lines who have film on him before that kind of claim can be made.

I'm sure some of it is for clicks (which social media has become).

But the Jets have a couple pretty good tackles and overall a pretty good offensive line on the interior (AVT)) and most reports are the giants defensive front dominated them.

Yea, but one can be dominant and still not be better than Parsons

I'm not encouraged by what I'm hearing about the Giants offense. Russ without Nabers sounds very pedestrian. Check downs and nothing in the middle of the field.

I pray that whatever Nabers is dealing with injury wise isn't a serious issue because we won't be able to move the ball.

Haven't heard anything about the run game.

I don't think the OL is the issue now. We really don't have any offensive weapons outside of Nabers and Tracy. Theo Johnson seems like he could be good but Russ isn't looking for him. Slayton is barely a WR3 and Wandale and Hyatt look like wasted picks.

The weapons we'll need for Dart are in college right now. guess we gotta be patient. As long as the defense is elite we should be able to hang in there.

Hopefully for Fields (I'm rooting for him to do well) it's just because the Giants defense is that good and not because he's that bad.

this has been his biggest problem his whole career.

unfortunately, i think the game just moves too fast for him so he just always needs more time than he gets which leads to him constantly being in scramble mode. he is good in scramble mode but he can't live that way all game

If they can effectively run the ball and play good defense in the first half, Fields can keep them in games and win games for them.

They need to avoid the following:
1. Being overmatched up front
2. Playing from way behind with obvious passing situations

When those two conditions are met, the game is over because that's all short passing and outside of Wilson, the Jets don't have enough weapons to pull it off and Fields isn't skilled enough to win that kind of game.
