Bigger fan of Monasterio after that interview he seems like a great guy.

I just wanted to break the record. If they lose tomorrow, oh well ...then win at least 3/5 vs Chicago

A stunning, improbable win.

Tomorrow is going to be throwing Quintana & Anderson to the wolves to give everyone else the day off before the double header I'd bet.

I didn't realize we were 34 over in September 2021. 91-57

Yup. Our bullpen is gassed either way.

Going to have to. Freddy in game 1 Monday and he's only gone 6 once the last month. Mis will start a game and he won't go long. Hall is out. It's going to be a rough stretch. But we have a 9 game cushion. Our bats need to keep hitting so at least the other bullpen is gassed too.

We've also won 13 straight series against the Reds which is pretty crazy

Facing a lefty tomorrow and with a doubleheader on Monday I wonder if Yelich, Turang and Frelick all get the day off again.

I was just coming on here to ask, I wonder if we’ll make any moves to bring an arm or two up. Hopefully we’ll start to get some of our guys back soon

Really weird to think back on that team; that was Yelich's worst season (maybe the Covid season was worse or just as bad) so I think it was like Adames and a hodge-podge? Maybe people will think similarly to this team five years from now, but even if a similar blueprint it feels like a level-up across the board. Insane pitching carry that year though.

NGL, I know you need to balance not losing momentum and all that, but I'd rest many guys tomorrow. Record was fun for sure. We have much bigger things to accomplish though. It's just one game - rest-up for a long Cubs series.
