If its guy who is prob better as a #2 on a contender I think I'd say KJ. In terms of career though Dame is like 30% ahead imo.

Yeah, KJ had some injury issues, Lilliard was in the era of load management but still seemed to play more game more consistently than KJ. Plus the superior 3 point shooting v. the superior ability to attack the basket seems to favor the 3 point shooter.

Lillard. KJ was a great player in his era, but wouldn't have been quite as impactful today, especially with his lack of 3pt shooting. Lillard just has a better skillset. KJ was pretty injury prone as well.

KJ had relatively short career but the way to look at him is what he did before Barkley joined him. He was a top 3 distributor, among Magic, Stockton and Hardaway, for those years at least, only about three or four. Lillard is a scorer and a high volume one, not a team leader really. In most eras, KJ is the better choice, particularly to maximise others and for winning.

Lillard seems to have been beloved by most teammates. I'm not sure what the basis is to claim he was 'not a team leader really'.

Put Lillard in the 90s and have him used optimally, and he'd destroy the league with his 3pt shooting. If he'd played then we'd be calling him the greatest point guard of all-time.

His career would have ended after one season after getting smacked around.
