Signing a guy to a 3 year deal (even if the final year is a team option) who was already a borderline NBA player prior to his Achilles tear is just roster malpractice.

I think literally only the 1st year is guaranteed

I'm going to wait until we get the contract details confirmed and hope that it's just non-guaranteed money. It really wouldn't make any sense to give guaranteed money to an unproven player coming off of back to back devastating injuries. Especially when our cap situation is still not great.

I really don't understand what we do sometimes. We don't have a ton of space between us and the repeater tax, so you would think we'd be careful with every dime. Giving a chunk of that space to a guy coming off of ACL and achilles injuries and who has hardly played any games the past two years doesn't seem like a great idea. Especially if any part of his contract is guaranteed. That's a guy you may have to replace with another minimum salary.

didn't the injury occur because there was a hole in the Cavs court? or was that the year before? he was getting praise and doing work but the 14th guy on the bench isn't the deciding factor in a chip
