I am clearly much more familiar with his offense than his defense, as ConSarnit nicely illustrated xD

And that offense would be oh so welcome on the second unit, RJ kind of welcome.

That's another good point; bolstering the bench lineup's offensive potential would be valuable, especially since loads of our bench guys are good defenders to help cover for Vuc, I suppose.

We’re getting picks and he’s expiring? Sign me up.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Given that Ingram has his health history, a strong second unit is needed during the season. I don't know why everyone wants to trade RJ, he can be easily the scorer in a defensively strong secon unit featuring CMB, Mogbo, Ochai, etc which cannot create and is offensively challenged. I know RJ can dish. And when Ingram has load management he can help the first team too. The season is long and some of our guys are injury prone.

I think the concern is the Barnes-ish inefficiency, which deflates the value of his rim pressure considerably, you know? He can move the ball, he draws fouls, but I think people are looking for better value and such. It may be there, it may not. We'll see what he looks like over the first few weeks of the season, and perhaps up to the trade deadline, yeah?

I have said repeatedly that in games where BI, SB, or IQ miss, we will appreciate having RJ in the lineup especially when they really need a bucket.

I am happy for Norm who is killing it. I thought there was talk of Scottie Barnes joining team Jamaica as well. He could use the confidence boost and reps against teams like Costa Rica.

Scottie should apply for Canadian citizenship and play for Canada. It'd be dope. With Dort and Brooks we'd have some crazy defense small ball.

Especially if BI is sitting against weaker teams, RJ will feast against those lineups.

Having 5 legit starters will ensure a high floor for the team. Ceiling will be set by how much growth occurs with both the starters and bench.

Yeah. I still have hope for him. I guess I like his attitude, being upbeat. Should he hit his FT at a better % and control his shots taken, he'd be alright.

He's not like, you know, Malachi Flynn.

All things equal, I'd be very happy if RJ managed to succeed with us. If he can play like he did right after the trade, I'd be thrilled to have him doing his thing. Last year was tough, and obviously exacerbated a variety of issues which would be mitigated some with other scorers around him, so there's some hope, for sure.

The crazy thing is, he can probably do it (according to that span when he played to his strengths). It's why I wouldn't just dump him like some people suggest. We need to make the effort to bring him back to that, it's in his best interest too. And in Raptors interest if management actually wants to trade him.

Where is the resolution to the Raps/Knicks dispute? They apparently were scheduled to argue their sides in front of Silver at the end of July and now nothing. Seems strange to me. Maybe the Masai dismissal and soon Larry T leaving the Raps has made Dolan back off or something?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….
