There’s also no team that faced a weaker group of top level opponents so that factors in. The top 4 teams in no order would have probably been the lakers who got injured to lose to the suns, the clippers who lost kawhi but conveniently beat the jazz before the suns got to face them, the nuggets of jamaal was healthy, who the suns beat, and the nets who had 2 major injuries and the bucks still barely barely beat them.

A guy like hardens best teams had to beat the KD warriors and then almost did it before cp3 got hurt ( I guess cp3’s best team too) The warriors would have smoked the 2021 bucks.

And most of those guys didn’t have healthy hall of fame teammates or prime hall of fame teammates or had to beat the heatles or 73 win warriors (Westbrook with KD), teams that would easily beat the bucks. Having an injured guy cheer you on in street clothes doesn’t help much.

Harden has had better teammates than Giannis his entire career so does he have a built in excuse for every season?

Failed with Embiid who is arguably a better player than him

Failed with Durant and Westbrook

Failed with CP3

Failed with Durant and Kyrie

Where do the excuses stop for Harden?

Probably at the end of your trolling.

If anything, give Lebron Giannis' support cast and he would have stay in the Bucks and won 3+ championships.

So we've now reached the point where Giannis is just as good as prime LeBron?

Yeah I think people might need to step back and think about the implications of saying this.

What supporting cast? His best teammate has been Middleton.

That would be like Lebron 8th best player he's played with haha

I said Lebron is the better player but he's also not won as many rings as a guy with his supporting cast and someone at his level should have.

Are you also accounting for Love/Kyrie out in 15 finals, 18/19(not strong casts), AD out for 21 playoffs etc? AD missed like 30% of his rs games from 20-25 and the Lakers let go the key role players on the 2020 team.

I’ll take Giannis’s 2-5 DPOY defense any day of the week over LBJ’s very flimsy version of a 1-5.

Giannis isn’t getting dad dicked by David West in his prime.

Giannis isn’t giving up 27/24 to Rudy Gobert

Giannis has lost to an 8th seed and that's atguxbly not his most embarrassing series loss against Jimmy butler's heat. Like he's obviously never beating the warriors and essentially no chance he beats the 2013 spurs. So basically even if he picked up the 2011 championship (again, he once lost to an 8th seed), he's still one behind.

He could be retired for 10 years, come back from the beach in Greece and still not give up 27/24 to Gobert

How is it trolling exactly? Harden has had many elite running mates with not much to show for it.

The premise was Giannis having the same supporting cast as LeBron.

Supporting cast LeBron has had in his career: Wade, AD, Kyrie, Love, Bosh, Luka, Ray Allen, and Shaq

Giannis's supporting casts are really underrated. The Bucks record without Giannis still usually around or slightly above .500 winning percentage. Lebron's teams winning percentage for the games he missed are usually bottom of the league lottery winning percentage.

LeBron is significantly better at peak.

Giannis's title year when his jumper was falling he was pretty unguardable but I didn't see him sustain that level. LeBron did it for years.

That said, Giannis giving you offense and defense is a huge deal, like a Hakeem type.

I just think Giannis has an odd playstyle where he wants to handle the rock a lot but isn't a skilled shooter and really elite teams with multiple athletic big man defenders like say the Billups Pistons would have really hurt him by shutting down the paint for his drives. Kind of similar to pre peak LeBron when the Spurs shut him down.

Giannis has really been in the "he wins because he is more athletic than everyone" camp if we are gonna compare him to the top player of all time. In a theoretical battle of the ATGs he looks more like a really athletic big man than a LeBron / MJ type super elite player to me.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Guarding 1-5? You think Lebron would have been effectively guarding Shaq and Hakeem in the 90s?

Yes, im also accounting for losing in the finals with a prime Wade/Bosh in 2011 and then with a decent Wade and prime Bosh in 2014 :)

Thats because those Raptor teams were never serious contenders and overachieved immensely to even get to where they did. There were like 6 better Western Conference Teams each year lol.

We'll never know without a time machine but I''ve seen him guard Jokic in the olympics when he's almost 40. What we have is prime LeBron guarding 1-5 in the highest level of basketball against the Spurs dynasty during the NBA Finals.
