Bam Adebayo would be the missing piece for the hornets.
If They could land him they could make a deep playoff run in weak east this season.
What would it take through to get him and would the hornets have to trade too much for him?
We have a ton of picks stacked up so that help and are stacked at guard so we could trade one of them to the heat.
Melo/Sexton/Miller/Bridges/Bam. nice starting lineup.

I think that team is 1st round fodder.

I would personally trade Melo for Bam if the opportunity presented itself and not look back.
Give Tre a true runway to prove he can be their PGOTF
Have picks to trade for a real difference maker if the above doesn’t pan out.

At best.

Bam is a psuedo star that gets paid like a star. Save your bullets for Gannis, Steph, or just keep the picks.
If Bam is one of your best players you are stuck in the middle.

I don't see the suggested trade. You need to do that part too. It would need to be a lot.
And, yeah, picks are nice, but few really do as well as Bam. The Heat were pretty lucky, and they REALLY like him.
Spoiler:

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Charlotte is missing about 4 pieces. Bam isn't making them anything special.

I didn't see anything Miami would want enough to trade Bam for. That's not a team that does a hard rebuild.

If they believe in Ball as a lead guard, Ball/Miller/Bam with 3&D forward (oddly enough, PJ Washigton fits here) and 3&D guard and Kennopul as a 6th man should be a good team.

You are building your trade around Kon ? Miami is one of those team that always compete and don’t really trade around a future asset. At best probably they might have traded previously at the draft itself .

There’s no way Miami trades Bam to Charlotte without at least one of LaMelo/Miller/Kon coming back.

I'm thinking picks based package, Heat + Mavs 1sts, ORL 1st next year and unprotected future 1st.

Personally, I don't think there's anything that Charlotte offers that gets our attention. Bam, for better or worse, seems to be our cornerstone.

That’s not even close to enough to get Miami’s attention. They see Bam as their cornerstone piece.
What's the draw for Miami here? There's no high-level prospects, no premium picks. Just a bunch of meh pieces for their best guy.

Heat and Mavs are premium picks, Heat look3d terrible last year and jury is still out on how they look, if they find themselves struggling, I see this deal happening.

A lottery-protected 2027 pick and a 2027 pick from a team with Cooper Flagg, AD, and Kyrie are not what I'd call premium picks.

It becomes unprotected in 28, and Mabs are pretty fragile team.
Bam wasn't good offensively last year, he's not that premium of an asset, he's more valuable than Bane, but not by much.
Gobert went for 5 picks, and he's better and it was considered an overpay.

I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree on what qualifies as a "premium" pick then. In my eyes, a pick that might be good in 3 years isn't a premium asset. Nor is a top-2 protected pick from a team that will be a play-in team at worst barring multiple catastrophic injuries.
You admit he's more valuable than Bane, and yet, offer less than Memphis got for Bane. I'm not sure how to square that circle.

Agree w/ gswhoops here.. Gobert went for MINN unprotected picks. Minny at the time had a prolonged period of mediocre/uninspiring record so there was more upside variance in their picks (esp considering goberts age). i think you need to include CHA's own picks to entice miami
