Imagine Mitchell and he taking turns playing POA defense on opposing point guards all game long?
We traded Haywood and a 2nd to sign a worse player with a torn Achilles. Upset? Idk if it’s that serious but I’m sure some people are. Is it a good or even positive move though? Probably not.
He tore his Achilles at the end of December, when does he even return? He’s now torn his ACL and his Achilles, will he even be able to defend like he used to? He hasn’t been played over 15 games in a season in his career. It’s a weird move for sure and it’s unfortunate we shed another asset in a salary dump to make it happen, just not good business.
The last players on the bench are players that's ok with not playing and that can be ready if suddenly he is needed

My issue with the signing is the Heat need size, not another guard that can’t even play. The Oladipo ordeal got me to stop believing in rehab projects. Plus the Heat made a luxury tax move getting rid of Haywood, when they literally just got Drob off the books and that should have been more than enough to clear out the books. Instead, they continue to push that limit with overpaid low value players.
