Little not being able to throw a strike is pretty standard for him (in fact his whole pitching style is built around his absurd whiff rate on balls in the dirt) but he usually has a ridiculously good blocking/receiver catcher to bail him out

We have to hope Vladdy is ok. If Ty France is starting at 1B for this team then not even the 2015 Royals magic that the Jays seem to have this season will be enough to save it. Maybe he just misses the rest of this series and is back Friday.

Santana is a great command/control guy, so that HBP was a pretty fishy ending to that one.

Don’t be surprised if Scherzer hits Pham tomorrow now

Looking forward to Mad Max tomorrow though.

If he can’t run the bases/field, they won’t put him out there. Even if minor, they can’t risk aggravating that kind of injury and making it worse with a little over a month left in the season.

It's funny that Yariel loses this game, and Hoffman won the game in LA.

We should be able to beat this trash team without him.

Yeah don't take chances with Vlad making it worse. Give him full games off

Agreed. Need Kirk out there though.

Vlad is getting a MRI on the hamstring tonight, so they’ll know the severity of it shortly. If it’s a significant strain, time to call Loperfido right back up I guess.

It is time Vlad stop doing the splits for a while at First Base. Hopefully, the injury is not serious and he can be back in a few days for the next series.

Pham just went off on Twitter and accused Barger of taking steroids among other things. Ended up deleting all of it, but it's only a matter of time until he writes or says something else dumb.

Again, while it's probably best for this team to avoid feuding with a complete lunatic who everyone in baseball hates, I would not be surprised if Scherzer hits him tomorrow. He's the kind of guy who would stand up for Heineman (and Clement).

My money is on him not being in the line up tomorrow.
