This of course assumes the staff believes Morgan could handle LT
Probably a conditional 2nd that has a chance at becoming 1st based on snaps played.

Am I overvaluing Walker? Probably. But quality LTs are at a pretty big premium in this league

I'd imagine the Chargers decline but im ok with having quality olineman need to sit on the bench if we have more then 5 and just fetching a comp pick

Yeah I know it's too early to give up on someone, but I'm over Marshawn Lloyd.

Bengals asking price is apparently a young defensive player and a 1st rounder. Pass.

Yea that's way too much, especially given the contract we'd have to give out. But I doubt any team gives up that much

Wait 'em out. They will most likely want to trade him to the NFC so that eliminates half the teams. Still 3 weeks to go.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'd toss em LVN and a Day 2 pick in a heartbeat, but good luck getting any sort of 1st round draft compensation for a guy on the wrong side of 30. Hard pass.

Gary + Day 2 pick, this way we kind of use Gary's money to extend Trey, who is way better, although 3 years older.

Trading Gary now gives us a dead cap hit of $17 million next year vs. a cap hit of $28 million so we save about $11 million (assuming there is no extension). Bengals would be responsible only for his base salary, $18 million this year and $21 million next year (at age 30). LVN they could have 2 years cheap and then make a decision. Not sure which way the Bengals would go, they are in "win now" mode for sure.

I wonder what kind of surgery takes like 6 minutes to heal.

Was the surgery on Love's left hand? That might explain the quick mend up time

Plus Trey is 30 years old. He's good but for how long? That alone ain't worth a 1st rounder.

As a former player I find it unfortunate when fans react that way. I understand it's frustrating but this game is not easy on the body and some are fortunate to have a long career and others don't. I'm sure he put in a lot of work to be ready and healthy for this season. A lot of it comes down to luck. He's a special talent so let's hope we get to see his talent on the field soon. I won't tell you how to be a fan just giving you another perspective.

I'm sorry but logical thinking is frowned upon around here. :D

Sorry but it's awfully tough to have faith in a guy with this amount of durability issues already at the most physically punishing position in the sport. I don't blame anyone for being out on Lloyd at this point. We've seen it happen with plenty of RB's over the years. Some guys' bodies just aren't built for it.
